We stayed last summer in Hotel Mediteran, Zadar, Croatia. The hotel is quite nice. We had a lovely room. You can have dinner at the restaurant and we had our dinner several times on the terrace outside. The service is super and the staff is very friendly. There are also restaurants in the neighbourhood when one would like to have a change. There are bus facilities to the city centre. One time we did a walk to the centre. It was wonderful to see the sea, the marina : it took some time but worthwile. The swimming pool is behind the hotel and we enjoyed it many times. We rented a car and there are many nice places that you can visit in a nice distance. One of the favourites was Nin.
This is a good hotel away from Old Town. It is about a 40 min walk but buses are close buy and tickets are 10Kn one way but can buy 16kn round trip from Tisak. Takes about 10-15 min and buses run every 15-20 min (bus #5 or 8). Reception can schedule a discounted ride as well but costs more than the bus. Breakfast was very good with crepes, breads, juice, eggs and more. Staff very accommodating. There is no elevator but staff will help you with your luggage if needed. It is an older type style hotel but is comfortable and quiet. Staff gave good recommendations for food in Old Town. Close walk to the beach as well.
A very good family-run 3-star hotel. We stayed for 7 nights in a 'comfort' room which was spacious with a large shower area, very comfortable beds and a balcony with distant sea views. Exceptionally clean throughout. About half the rooms have been upgraded. The manager (Robert) and his team were friendly and extremely helpful. Pool area was a bonus, and easy to get a lounger (we stayed in early September). First-class buffet breakfasts. The only downside is the lack of lifts but the staff were very willing to assist with luggage. Hotel is about a 50 minute walk from the town centre or a £5 cab ride (a bus stop is only about 5 mins walk away). Zadar is an interesting city, and nearby Diklo is a lovely place for walks along the seafront (particularly the pedestrian pathway that runs on from the final bus stop). …
This hotel is everything you would expect from a 3-star hotel and even more I would say. The service is better than in some 4 star hotels I have been in. Let's start with the negative points: this hotel has a lot of stairs and no elevator. But consider that good for your health to work of the fine breakfast. Honestly, all of the people are friendly and very helpful (good tips on what to visit), the rooms are simple, but nice and clean. The breakfast is simple but very good with plenty of choices. A nice clean swimming pool, we can recommend the restaurant in the hotel as well. There is a parking area in the back of the hotel that gives you easy access. In summary, super hotel, super staff, and would surely consider this if we would stay in Zadar again.
The hotel is situated about a 10 minute drive from the old town. It’s in a nice neighbourhood filled with restaurants, apartments, shops and hotels and about a 10 minutes walk to several beaches. The breakfast buffet is very good and the service has been warm and hospitable. Their restaurant recommendations have been spot on. For a 3 star hotel it more than met our expectations. The room is a good size with a balcony and it’s immaculate. We have yet to enjoy the pool but it looks inviting.
