Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

traveling for many years..both in Romania, speek both Hungarian and Romanian, I too a room for 2 nights. 1. heating both enough, freezing 2. dirty carpets 3. I came back from the city at 2:00 a.m couldn't enter, the code maybe wrong, called the owner, the phone shutt down, he answered me at 9:00 a.m. 4. wrote to booking, the computer said answer in 24 hours. called the help center by phone, they just left me waiting without a solution. 5. I am 71 years old sick person, no clothes, no pills, nothing, freezing outside, looking for a hotel no answer from 2, the third answered. 6. couldn't sleep, I was so nervous, booking wrote me to pay, even I couldn't get in didn't use...how nice, helpful 7. Too bad it's in a good location near the old town square. Heater was on once or twice a day for about 10 minutes as was the hot water even though I told him that I was with a child in the room. We had to wait for a hour to check-in.

Amazing place to spend nights. Huge room and warm welcome. Close to all major attractions of the medieval town of Brasov and right next to rope street. I recommend this to anyone. Situated right in the centre of the medieval town of Brasov and right next to the mountain wich has the famous writing of Brasov.

Let's take it from the very beginning: One simply has no chance to find this location. It is not pointed out, there are not the slightest hints, and not even a nameplate. I had to wait until the owner called me on phone because I was late, not being able to find the location. Concerning some things they proudly offer on their profile site: - there is NO cash machine or ATM within the location - one can NOT exchange money there - there is NO flat screen TV in the room but only an old apparatus from the '80ies with a damaged and taped remote control where the batteries often fall out - there is NO game console - there is NO refrigerator in the room - only a pretty dirty one in the kitchen (in fact the entire kitchen is not really the cleanest) - there is NO tea- or coffeemaker within the room – only one in the kitchen, as dirty as the refrigerator - there is NO hairdryer - parking is an adventure - there is only one parking place which is inside the location and it is quite difficult to access - they do NOT offer an airport shuttle service - they only search online (with the same results which I can find myself as well) So very few of all amenities they mention in their profile are really true. The room was apparently clean (pointing on "apparently ") but I'm afraid they didn't change the bed sheets after the last guest(s), they were dirty and smelly - anyway, self-suggestion helped me believe they did. The wardrobe cases should not be used - my clothes had an awful smell after three days. The heaters don't work at all, only in the bathroom for about an hour in the morning - it's been pretty cold in November and only when you are lucky you have some warm water for showering. The doorlocks don't work but randomly - you never can be sure the door is really locked. Further in the bathroom there is not even one bar or hook where you can hang on your towels. So after a couple of days they became quite smelly but they weren't changed. They do not have a reception desk, information point or staff. For every problem occurring one has to call the owner on phone (what might become quite expensive when one must do international calls) or wait for a (rare) lucky moment to meet him himself. You won't receive any invoice or billing for your accommodation, not even a receipt for the fees you paid (all in cash and in advance, not when checking out). They don’t accept credit cards. I have severe doubts if what they do is legal - no receipts, no invoices, no nameplate; they don't even ask for ID-cards or passports... It smells more than fishy. For myself I hadn't many claims or expectations - I simply wanted to visit friends and needed a place where to sleep and save my luggage. And that’s what it is: a shelter. No more and no less. But there might be people who want to spend their holidays there, hoping for all amenities of a nice accommodation. They should better take another choice. Regarding the cleanliness watch the attached screenshots (regrettably I cannot upload the video) - yes, it is a mouse in the waste bin. I met it several times in my room.
