This property is very badly advertised ... it’s nothing like the picture in real life ! We stayed one night on a family holiday as Braşov was on our list to visit again. The apartment is damp, dark and smells awful. The minimum of furniture and very little in the way of a kitchen ... not even a kettle to make a drink. In very poor condition and badly maintained by its owner, who we were told by a very embarrassed cleaner, doesn’t care anymore about the property and does not re invest money into it. Dirty and rusty bathroom fittings, broken lights everywhere, awful smell in the bathroom. How on earth thIs still remains on Trip Advisor god only knows !!! The manager does not really care when we complained and we feel cheated out of the price paid. On Booking.com it states discuss rate on arrival which is not the case ... the money is blocked on your credit card and not refundable !!! Never ever stay again and would certainly not recommend this place !!!!!!!

I visited this place a while back as a couple and from the off it was a disaster.the place was impossible to find and even the locals couldn't help locate it. we found eventually at the end of a dirt road, tired and sweaty. only found out about the free bar facilities and location on the last night, room was bare and poorly furnished.we also arranged an ongoing trip with the staff who set us up with an "english" speaking guide who had no English, was slimy and swindled us out of our money. avoid at all costs you have been warned!

We stayed here for 4 nights. We had a 1 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor. It was just what we needed to feel at home in Brasov. The apartment was nice and clean. There were plates, cutlery and cups. The only thing we could have used was a kettle. The walk up the hill can be intense so pace yourself. But we were happy to stay out of the city center. The view from our window was very nice to wake up to. We will stay here again if we are ever in Brasov again.

Booked a 1 bedroom apartment for three nights. For us the location was good. It is definitely a narrow road up, during winter time it's probably horrible to drive - wouldn't recommend. During summer time it wasn't a big deal at all. Free parking was ok even though the road leading to the house as well as the road in front of it is in a horrible shape. On the booking site it says that there's a bar and a cafe but at least we couldn't find them.... The apartment didn't look like anything on the pictures. It was cold, humid and dark. Floors were extremely cold even in the month of May. You do have heating there but it doesn't help much with the floors. Also, the darkness made the apartment dungeon-like. Yes, there are windows but just a couple of them and they don't bring in enough light. Another huge disappointment was the kitchen as it didn't have anything to make coffee with (no coffee maker, coffee pot or anything). It's an extremely stripped apartment with only the essentials and that's it. The bathroom was a smelly, wet and the toilet was leaking the whole time. Because the water tank leaked, you couldn't flush it and actually had to fill a bucket with water and pour it to the toilet... Ugh.. The owners do know this but it wasn't fixed. The fridge was extremely loud! For light sleepers it's going to be torture. We were told that there will be cleaning every day but during our three day stay only the towels were changed - once. On the first day the apartment wasn't cleaned and the towels weren't changed either... Staff was ok but we definitely felt very let down. There's no cleaning, no proper kitchen, no cafe/bar. Internet was good and we did get a good sleep there.

9 Suites was a great place to stay. The room or I should say the rooms were large. In mine I had a full size bathroom with whirlpool tub, a kitchen with fridge, stove, and plates and utensils, a large bedroom, and a balcony the went the whole length of the suite. The rooms were very clean. The staff the friendly and helpful. It was close to the old city of Brasov, and I had not problems walking there and back though the cobblestone road might intimidate some. It is somewhat steep. The staff can tell how to get to other locations around the area too.

I can't say anything about the personnel, they were ok. The road to the Residence was pretty hard, I guess that if there were snow, you will need a 4x4 car. They have private parking, which is appreciated. I stayed in junior suite. The room I can say that is was structured ok, but the TV was placed on the wall in a way that you can't watch it from the bed, because the support was not adjustable. I really didn't understood the construction. 3 meters windows for what? All I can see was the building across me, the neighbours, and they can see me... Then what is the point of having 3 meters windows? For a couple is not very intimate and romantic... The smell? Terrible !!! I asked at the reception for a spray or something, because i couldn't resist anymore. Never ever in all my travels i didn't meet something like this. My luck, I only stayed in that room for 1 day. At 4 AM I waked up because of the smell, i couldn't sleep until morning. From 7 to 8 am I stayed outside, waiting for the receptionist to come to give her the key and get out of there ! I stayed in 1 star, 2 star hotels, and they were OK, but I didn't expected something like this from a 4 star suite !

My room was awesome. It was a one-bedroom flat bigger than most big-city apartments. The view was amazing. The living room and bed room each had doors to the private balcony. The bathtub was a Jacuzzi and the bathroom was enormous. The entire flat was brand new inside and immaculately clean. I wouldn't say the 9 Suites Hotel provides "easy access" to Brasov. You can walk to the center of town in about 20 minutes, but don't forget the STEEP hill. And then there's the walk back up the hill. I love walking, so it was okay for me. I absolutely recommend the 9 Suites Hotel for the physically fit or for skiers. The price is right and the hotel rooms over all the perks of home. Oh, and the woman at the desk was FANTASTIC!!!! I rarely give an "Excellent" rating, but this one is deserved. Only negatives: 1. As mentioned in H P's evaluation called 'Warning!" the drive up the hill is not for the faint of heart. I've driven many skinny, near-vertical roads in Europe, but never one covered by ice and snow. On the way up the mirror on my tiny car struck a garbage can. Thankfully, the mirror folded back on it's hinge. My GPS only took me about 30 meters up the road. The rest of the ascension was well covered by signs pointing the way to the 9 Suites Hotel. 2. The outside walkways around the hotel were deathly slick. Imagine polished ceramic tile covered in ice and snow.

Room Tip: Ask for room 3! It's got a great view and it's plenty large for up to four people.

I booked a room at 9 Suites in July 2012 based on the description and reviews on Trip Advisor including " having easy access to all that the lively city has to offer". But when I arrived in Brasov (in a rental car after driving from Sibiu) the GPS guided me up an extremely steep narrow cobblestone "hill" at a 75+ degree angle! The road was formidable enough for me to want to turn around and head back down but it was too narrow so once you start up, you must keep going. This is a 2-way road but is only wide enough for 1 car so if another vehicle approaches, one of you has to back all the way up or back down. NOT my cup of tea, and that's after a wildly fun drive on the Transfagarasan! Once I made it to the top I realized the trip to and from the hotel would cause more stress than pleasure so we were kindly released from our reservation and had a wonderful 3 day stay at another hotel. You'll need to be fearless, have an automatic transmission and the spirit of a mountain goat to stay at 9 Suites.

Just spent 4 nights at 9 Suites and loved it! We had initially booked for 2 nights but upon arriving felt instantly relaxed and after a great night's sleep decided to stay 2 extra nights. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen is quite well equipped though a small suggestion would be that they provide a jug and toaster. 9 Suites is situated on a hill just a 10 minute walk from the old town of Brasov. We did not have a car & do not feel you are disadvantaged if travelling without your own transport. Taxis are readily available and are perfect for day trips etc. We adored the solitute that 9 Suites provided. It was just what we were looking for & to be honest we did not want to leave! Tatiana, the manager, was very helpful & friendly & a credit to 9 Suites. Thanks to 9 Suites for a relaxing break in our travels!

I spent 3 days at this apartment while in Brasov recently and absolutely LOVED it! The manager was so hospitable and welcoming, greeting us every time we pulled our car up. She offered suggestions and made us feel completely at home. The apartment was enormous- 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, kitchen, living room, big deck. I am not a smoker, but my travel companion appreciated being able to smoke on the balcony. The apartment is on top of a mountain and you have to walk down to get to Old Town Brasov, but the hike isn't too bad- except in snow. The road leading up to the apartment is a cobblestone one-way road though. We absolutely loved the apartment and will definitely stay there again if ever in Brasov again! It was super economical and cozy! I 100% recommend staying here!
