The place itself is really nice - big complex in an amazing location, with one mountain chain on one side and another one on the other. The room we had (in one of the villas) was also nice, with a balcony, bathroom was small but ok and shampoo/shower gel were in those small teabag-type of recipients, which look super cheap and I hadn’t seen in a while.
The restaurant has a nice terrace, really pleasant to sit on, but don’t expect gourmet food. The food is very basic and not just that, but key problem for us was that one night after dinner, my partner had a severe indigestion that only have been caused by restaurant food. So the quality and freshness of ingredients is doubtful.
Which is a shame, because it has amazing potential!

And I’ve seen others commenting about the dogs on property - not to worry, they don’t beg but only discretely inquire if they might get something ;) Otherwise they are super peaceful and I actually liked them.
Last but not least, restaurant staff was very kind and very polite, really well done to them for the great experience they provide.

Big resort with a lot of activities to choose from. We stayed 2 nights right after the Government decided to reopen some of the hotels and similar types of accommodation facilities post COVID-19 peak in our country.

To start off, the room was spacious with a big balcony. The lady at the reception desk was a bit rude when we asked her to give us a higher story room. Initially she chose 2nd floor, but we eventually got seated at the 4th floor. Mind you that Bucegi building has 7 floors.

Then, the water was warm and it eventually got hot if you waited for some time. The heating was not great and the radiator had to be dialed to the very maximum setting to have a feeling of warmth in the room. I cannot imagine how we'd cope in a winter month.

Furniture was so and so, resistant solid beds, but that's pretty much it. The shampoo and shower gel provided were enough so i can wipe my private parts. Not sure how can a 200 pound person have a proper wash with a tiny teabag sized serving of washing cream.
No kettle, no complimentary coffee or tea in the room. Had a mini bar, but it was quite expensive.

The water drain from the sink was leaking and there was no shower curtain either.

At the restaurant the food was ok but quite expensive. Agree that the view is great, but please do something about those dogs that roam around the property and beg for food at the table. They can be very annoying. I counted at least 6 of them.
Also, please use more variety for the music.

And also not sure why the whole portion of road between the property down to the main road was occupied by some rally event and we had to wait 40 minutes so they can pack their crap up.

Last but not least, the playground area for the children was heaven for the little one. It could use some renovation though.
Other than that, all good.

We booked three nights at Hotel Bucegi. Overall it was a nice experience, but could have been better. I will continue with good and bad things about this resort
Good
The view is amazing, the best part.
The check-in was fast and easy.
The room was very clean and spacious, huge and comfortable bed.
Signature paintings outside and inside the buildings, which add personality to the place.
Bad
Food is generally tasteless. Big disappointment. Also, pretty different serving quality from one day to another and from one are of another in the restaurant.
Smell of old on the hallway.
Low quality and quantity of toiletries. Cheapest solid soaps and shampoo envelopes (no shower gel). The second day we did not get a complete refill for shampoo.
Expensive spa (10 euros extra per person per day), cold pool water and very unfriendly staff.

The only thing that makes me think I will return is the landscape. Everything else could and should be better.

Last week me and my wife booked a double room for 3 nights in Hotel Bucegi in Cheile Gradistei Resort. The rooms & restaurant are accordingly with the 3 stars classification so i'm not gonna amend that, BUT in concerned of the SPA it was total insult to it's clients. First of all they are charging 50RON per 1&1/2 hours of using the SPA(even when i've attended 4 starts rated hotels in Alps - Switzerland, Italy,France i've payed less). Nevertheless it was my decision to give it a try (SPA was the main reason i've booked accommodation to this complex) and now we are facing the consequences(both of us caught a cold). The water in the pool was so cold that all the children were using the jacuzzi to swim due to the icy water, making this impracticable by grown ups. Recirculation for the water in the pool wasn't working, the lights were reduced to minimum. On top of that the wet sauna was closed showing a "DEFECT" sign on the glass door from the sauna entrance making it impracticable too. Please be aware that there was no warning regarding this inconvenience nor on the website homepage neither on the main entrance door to the SPA. When i've warned the reception regarding all these issues and i had to ask for my found to be refund, leave the place and search for other accommodation. It's a big shame and lack of respect for all the customers which are visiting these surroundings.

I use to visit this place quite often, however this was the firts visit during COVID. The accomodation has a few positive sides, the location and price being one of them. Overall all the facilities in the room are the cheapest possible so many times in the room we had problems (smells, door not open etc)

My review is for the bad management of COVID situation:
- During breakfast there are nobody at the entrance to take care or to advise people the mask is mandatory. So, there were many people that doesn’t wore the mask
- it was a man close to me asking to the waiter “Do you mind if I forgot my mask in the room”? How crazy is that?
- the hotel is ressponsible to have rules in order ro protect all the clients are there.

No mask, no gloves, no rules, very crowded with many uncivilized people who are allowed to do anything, children screaming and running everywhere, including around your table.

Probably I will also make an official complaint. It is outrageous

The most miserable accommodation Miserable is the right word for the CARPENUL BUNGALOW. The mess at her home. Right from the entrance, the press outside was full of leaves under him. The press in the living room was cleaned superficially. The sofa in the living room was/is broken. The light is very weak, bundled with bulbs of different shapes and sizes. The downstairs room, where I stayed, has a mattress in waves. From the pictures you will see the bathroom, I won't go into details. What else can I say, the doors, windows, door handles are very worn, they creak, it can be seen that they were forced. If you will be staying there, watch out for the bathroom faucet: they carved a wooden beauty so that you can use it. (a Dorel was there "THE BOSS"). There is a lot to discuss, but this was a summary.

We stayed at bungalow Carpenul. Let's start with the good things: clean, cosy, wonderful view, nice personnel, very good food.
Minuses: no bathtub as on the website, no hairdryer ( those are something that we can skip). Big issues with the doors and windows! The window from the hallway and the balcony doors from the rooms are not closing tight! The wind was blowing like a fan! The main entrance door can't be locked. I think that each room must have a key for the main door so we can lock it. The couch from the living room was looking very poor and used.
Maybe in the hotel is better...

I came here with my partner expecting this place to be a relaxing accommodation. The spa was the main reason we booked this place. Unfortunately we could not use the services of the spa completely. The pool was great except for the noise of children. We could also not use the jacuzzi since it was full of children and their parents. Wet sauna was working at a very low temperature and the dry sauna was great except for the fact that children kept opening the door… So very not relaxing. Unless you have kids this is not the place to enjoy.

The room and restaurant are nice tho

We stayed at Piatra Craiului and we had a wonderful view. The room was very clean and beyond expectations. Shampoo left in the room wasn’t enough, but we had from home a bottle, so that wasn’t a problem for us. They have a beautiful dog - husky, so kind and beautiful ❤️. Breakfast was ok.

I’ll start by saying waiting staff were really nice. It’s not their fault that the food is dreadful. We came for lunch. It wasn’t busy so that’s no excuse. I had a pork schnitzel. It looked like someone had trodden in it, and tasted like it too. My wife had the chicken schnitzel. Mine looked better. My son had the steak. It was the most expensive dish on the menu so hopes were higher for it. It looked like it had visited the crematorium before it hit the plate. I could mention the terrible collection of side dishes but I’m guessing you can guess what they were like. We skipped dessert. In reception there is a sculpture that looks like an old man vomiting. My theory is that it’s modelled on a former restaurant guest. The view is great from this restaurant, the culinary experience is the exact opposite. I’ve given two stars, both are for the view.
