We felt great at Kronwell for our holiday. Very well equipped hotel, new facilities. Our room was large and accommodated well a double bed and an extra bed (2 adults + 2 kids). Breakfast very diversified, lots of options. In the kids area you can serve kids menu, the food overall is quite tasty. Gym is opened starting 6 AM, well equipped. All the personnel (reception, kids area, restaurant, wellness etc), that we interact with, was well prepared, smiling and was there for our comfort, in a discrete manner. The shower area has a clear view from the room that can be closed when needed. We enjoyed our staying at Kronwell, thanks to the entire team and we will return for sure.

I had a great time with my family at Kronwell Brasov. We’ve booked two interconnected rooms which was very convenient as my children had a standard room next to our superior room and we had plenty of space. From the beginning, as we checked in, the staff was very friendly and well trained, and they informed us about all their procedures that they had in place due to the (current ) pandemic. Even though the Spa areas were not all open so the kids could not take advantage of (like the swimming pool), they still enjoyed the Kids playground (which is very complete, they had PS4, trampoline, enclosed obstacle castle and lots of toys) as my husband went to the gym for his daily routine and I took advantage of the aroma therapy massage and some cosmetics treatment. Next day we visited the great Old Town of Brasov which is in the proximity (about 5 minutes by the car) and we went all the way to Dino Park in Rasnov City (a nice attraction for kids with dinosaur replica and adventures tree trails) and to Bran Castle which is not too far from Brasov (it took us some 30 min drive) were the Castle is breathtaking. In the evening we spoiled with an amazing dinner at the Hotel. The food was delicious and the Kids enjoyed a great dessert. Breakfast wasn’t buffet but it didn’t bother us as they had like 4-5 different types to choose from and they brought some extra (cereals, yoghurt and milk) as kids wanted. It took some time though as it was very busy. We felt secure, although not all tourists were respecting the mask wearing and the social distancing in the public area. Overall a great experience, great service and we are anxious to come back and take full advantage of their great Spa facilities when all restrictions will be raised by authorities as the Brasov town has many other attractions to be explored.

Satisfied with everything at this hotel. Clean large room, very quiet and super friendly personnel. Prices for room service and minibar are resonable , safe box and complimentary bottles of water upon arrival. Breakfast has everything and great service. It is one of the best hotels i have been to at this price and I highly recommend this to everyone. Location a bit outside the old part of town but easy to get there. Across the street from the hotel you will find a 24/7 supermarket aswell as a gas station.

The staff were all very kind and helpful making sure to ask if you seemed to need help and knew English well which really made our stay, check-in was very easy and we were offered complimentary drinks on arrival. Every evening when coming back in the rooms we found a warm thermos of tea with a couple of biscuits on a plate, and this was such a thoughtful touch. To use the lift to go up to the floors with rooms you had to use your room card so it was safe. Gorgeous and spacious rooms with plenty of amenities. Very comfortable beds and bedding, we all slept really well. There was always a good variety of food for breakfast with quality items. During our stay we used the spa and gym which was worth the extra charge of €12, with kids being free. The gym had many machines, it was never too busy and the pool was a good size with the spa area very relaxing with heated sun beds and the special showers and different saunas. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay and found it very relaxing with lovely staff and rooms.

The facilities are first class. Very comfortable and well appointed room, I chose a lifestyle room, comes with an iPad. Rooms are spotless and well cleaned daily. Super efficient reservations and reception. Good free parking facilities. Amazing indoor pool with sauna, etc. unfortunately I did not have the time to check out the Spa (next time). Great food in couchette restaurant and a nice bar with huge selection of drinks. The staff are amazing, so attentive, so efficient, so polite; they make you feel so very welcome. One niggle, the WiFi has very poor Internet connection, on many occasions I simply switched it off and used 4G. Not a problem for me on my tariff but some people would find it very annoying. It’s actually very close to the city centre, 15 minute taxi ride at an average cost of just 15 Ron (£3). On top of all that Transylvania is an amazing tourist spot and Brasov is well worth a long visit. Brasov is also very cheap (but not the Kronwell, but luxury always costs a bit more(. My favorite hotel in Romania! The rooms are very modern, really another level compared to other 4* hotels. The stuff is friendly and nice. We like Kronwell so much that we also did our wedding there and everything was perfect thanks to our event planner who helped us with everything we needed and even gave us some great ideas. Stayed here as part of our land extension on an Avalon Danube River cruise. The dim hallway and room lighting was an excellent prelude to our tour of Dracula’s Castle. There are two small elevators for a 10-storey building so our group was lined up thru the lobby.
The décor tries too hard to be trendy. Stretching across my room 803 were four large diagonal round metal beams – functional or decorative? Who knows. It was a voyage of discovery to find the lights. If all else fails, there is an instruction sheet. The ceiling has small pod lighting which leaves unlit areas in the room. A series of unidentified switches on both sides of the comfy king size bed turn directional lighting on/off. In the middle of the room was a huge white oval bathtub with a clear plexiglass enclosure in addition to an enclosed shower. The bathroom vanity had pod lighting shining down on the right side but none on the left. A square toilet had a separate room of its own.
That said, our buffet breakfasts and included buffet dinner on the brighter 3rd floor were excellent with a large choice of dishes including local foods. Staff here and at Reception were friendly and helpful. A nice touch was each evening a carafe of herbal tea and two wrapped little cakes/chocolates were delivered to the room unless you had activated the ‘do not disturb’ switch.

When I first entered the Kronwell, I was very impressed with the luxurious lobby area. Checking in was hassle free and front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. When I got to my room I was amazed how huge it was! The closet space was awesome. Very clean, bed was amazing. My room 704 overlooked the very busy highway with lots of racing motorcyles! Traffic noise does not bother me but keep that in mind. After dinner, I found tea and a cookie in my room. What a nice touch. The glassed in bathroom was impressive and of course not very private bathtub. However, the shower was private and water pressure and almost instant hot water was a definite plus. TIP: I could not figure out the very fancy coffeepot, it was a brand I was not familiar with so I didn't use it. The front desk offered to send someone up with me to show me how to work it but at the time I was on my way out. It would be great if an instruction card was included in the room. I had 2 dinners at the restaurant - the first was a filet with a side of grilled eggplant and zucchini. I think that was the best melt-in-your mouth filet I have ever had. Both the filet and the vegetables were seasoned perfectly. No steak sauce needed on that filet! The 2nd dinner was a shrimp pasta which was equally delicious. Compliments to the fantastic chef. You must eat in the restaurant.

We arrived by train and literally walked to the hotel (possibly 200 meters). The hotel is absolutely first class, with large very well-appointed rooms and a super friendly staff. Even though it is near the railroad there is no outside noise! It is a beautiful hotel with all of the comforts one would expect from an elegant, modern hotel. The buffet breakfast service is also excellent. The location is not excellent for visiting downtown, but a short 15 RON Uber ride makes this place ultra-accessible and worth not staying in a central downtown location.

All our rooms have a glass cube bathtub with an in-room view but you can choose to cover the glass with sliding doors.

Just ask the reception. The fare is quite cheap, app 4-5 euro. Don"t take standing in queue taxis in strategic points(center, railway station, etc). Better stop one in traffic..and ask to use the meter.
