Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Castle Iezer was a very pleasant surprise for me. We went to Brasov and we were looking for accommodation on the go. I needed three rooms. At first we did not really feel a good choice (if they were vampires in the castle?) But when we entered the backyard and the castle, we changed our minds. The courtyard is full of greenery and offers a very beautiful view (even if not arranged). It has parking space for up to 4 cars. The owners are very nice, they have bought the property for over a year and are planning to make improvements. All rooms have a TV, comfortable beds, clean bedding. The two-bedroom apartment has a shared bathroom with separate entrances (both in the room and in the bathroom). The kitchen in the living room is equipped with everything needed (stove, microwave, fridge, etc.). The night is warm enough in the rooms. It is the perfect place for those who want to spend a few days without being disturbed. I recommend!

We talked with the owner about 2 weeks ago and he was ok with the reservation - an apartament and a double room. We called yesterday again and he said simply "your reservation it's not possible anymore". We planned this vacation a long time ago and we were shocked of his response: "I have some guys from Germany and they want to stay longer" So what? For more money you will ruin others vacantion? Well, I don't recommend this hotel because of his owner.

We stayed in room 302, with a view of the city. The view was excellent, but we booked a room overlooking the mountain. The reservation was made 3 months prior, we paid for the first night in order to get the reservation, and the owner confirmed everything, but when we got there, he "forgot" that we paid. It's good we brought the bank statement with us. We showed him the proof and he reluctantly said it's ok. Two days later he went on to say that we didn't book the room and he had no guarantee that we would show up. This was after we paid for the full stay. Cleaning was done only in the common areas, our room was as dirty as if it was abandoned. There was dust everywhere, including inside the closet. In the 6 days we were there, we had to insist that they take out the trash and bring us some toilet paper. The floors were creeking with every footstep. The bed was flimsy, creeking and had a hole on one side. The windows didn't keep the cold or the noise out. We were barely able to sleep because of the infernal barking (the dog was about 20 meters from the estate). The door also let noise in, every time someone would walk through the house, you could hear it as if they were next to you. There were cobwebs in every corner of the room. The wi-fi is very weak, barely if at all available in the upstairs rooms. There's only one refrigerator and it's shared by all the guests. I stored food there, until someone ate part of it. I had to take it up in the room and store it near the window. I strongly advise against stays at this "castel".

Is close to old city so we had a nice walk around the forest and those nice streets in Brasov. Rooms are clean, the customer service is amazing, the sounds of birds embrace you in the morning together with a fancy breakfast. Give it a try!

Location , location and location. And only location.Beautiful ...BUT: Hard to reach. No signs to guide you. So discrete that you might miss the entrance. The property does not invite you in any way. And if you are not lucky, as it happened to me, there's no one there to welcome you, so you'll find yourself in a bad smelling, rather dubious place. One can be missguided by the very good mark that the hotel has on booking. I surely was. And when you get the message "You don't like it? Why bother to stay, just go elsewhere?!" things are clear. Go away and never come back

The very good mark that Castel Iezer has on booking.com is calculated from hundreds of reviews. You couldn't write a review on booking.com because you never been acomodated in our hotel, so you wrote here, because here noone verify if you were accomodated or not!

Very nice old villa converted into guesthouse, with a large green yard. Located in a quiet area, but very close to the old historic center. Very welcoming host, everything you need in the kitchen, nice and cozy rooms. Parking available at the property.

Been here with my boyfiend and another coupe for 2 nights. We booked 2 rooms with city view: our friends had the room from downstairs and we had a room up. The difference between them was the bathroom: we had a shower and they had bathtub, so our bathroom was more spacious. There were also other tourists there and in the morning were making a lot of noise. The kitchen is a common space, so we had to wait until they left to go and drink our coffee. Another problem was that the second night the room was very cold and we had to put a lot of clothes on us to warm up. Positive things: Very friendly staff and the location of the Castle.
