We stayed there for 2 nights and arrived from a night bus from Yangon and they gave us the room at 7h am when we arrived which was truly appreciated. Walking distance to some good restaurants like the Pan Cherry, the room was comfortable and wifi worked great! The hotel can arrange for you day trip to Pyin Oo Lwin ( shared taxi 6000 kyats each) and taxi to U-Bein Bridge waiting for you for about 15,000 kyats, waiting over sunset). Also ferry to Bagan and they made us a breakfast box because we were leaving really early but it made the difference on the cruise where they offer breakfast and lunch but very small portions.

We enjoyed our stay in this new hotel (opened summer 2014) very much.
The hotel is located near the railway station (5min.walk) and has a central location. There is a nice beer garden and restaurant around the corner (82nd street - 31st street).
The rooms are very clean and the aircon works perfect. Bathroom is very clean. No negative comments on it.
Breakfast: fried rice, fried noodles, coffee, fruit juice, milk, Asian breakfast soup, ...
And now the most important: front desk staff is very helpfull. They helped us finding a taxi for a tour trip. They even negotiated the price. The English they speak is good. They are very friendly.
Very good price for a nice, clean and new hotel with a good location.

Very nice hotel, rooms on the small side but clean. Wifi slow and unreliable. Very friendly and helpful staff.

TV has one English film channel but no news channel.

Buffet breakfast served on the roof – good but take a jacket if you are eating early or it is windy.

Highly recommended

I was made aware of this hotel by a recommendation. The room was spotless and quite decently sized. Large window with a view over the city (but high up enough not to be bothered by the noise). The bathroom clean and small but perfunctory . And the water hot. I paid a walk-in price that was very (very) reasonable, in particular considering the surprising level of comfort and luxury. And a rooftop bar that serves as breakfast area in the morning - something I am partial to.

So the bricks and mortar are fine, but what in my opinion justifies the excellent rating is the staff. They give a new definition to the concepts of hospitality and service. While this could just be consistent with the principle of cetana (google it for reference) it is the best of I have so far encountered in Myanmar. Incredibly helpful!

We spent several days in this hotel travelling around Myanmar. All staff and manager were so helpfull and very kind with us.
We really reccomended this hotel; is clean, cheap and close to everything you should need in Mandaly. If I come back sometimes I will choose again the Victory Point Hotel.

Very clean and quite new 5 story with lift. Price for a room was $40 through Booking.com or $30 for a direct reservation or walk-in.
Very friendly and lovely staff - so helpful. It is sad that all hotel workers in Myanmar earn about $2-$3 a day and often work 12 hour shifts 7 days a week. The profits for the owners are clearly substantial.
Only downside to this hotel was very poor wifi and poor sound insulation (both are quite common in hotels in Myanmar).
Breakfast was Burmese style, but ok. Location is acceptable. Not too far from markets and buses etc.

We had to stay here after our first choice was booked. The hotel is fairly new...so an okay option considering the price (30 for - twin room...35 for a standard double). However, our bathroom was dirty when we arrived and we had to call and ask them to clean it. The carpets In our room were also not vacuumed well. The bed itself was clean with clean sheets so that was good. Wifi also works well and there is a standard free breakfast.

This hotel may start looking pretty worn in a year from now...
