Clean, comfortable and great service. Amazing breakfast. We stayed at Manichan for 3 nights. Andy and Venus were extremely hospitable and welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and show us around town. They also helped us with anything we needed including a scooter rental and bus tickets. Would absolutely go back!

We have just left Manichan Guesthouse after a week long stay. We were all sad to leave which speaks volumes about just how great Andy, Venus and the staff all were. There is a great community area where everyone gathers for a fantastic breakfast each morning and for chats throughout the day. The location is perfect, close to both the... More

Andy and his family are wonderful and they do a lovely job with both of their properties! The communal table is a wonderful place to have breakfast or just come relax in at any time. You can easily meet other travelers here of all ages and backgrounds. If you're unsure about a shared bathroom, I wouldn't let it deter you,... More

Hey Margot Channing (remember to watch "All About Eve") thank you for the kind words, especially about the bathrooms. we work hard to ensure that our shared baths are clean and comfortable. I know that you loved staying at Mali House #6 with the balcony, and it was so nice to see you enjoying yourself. come back, OK? More

We stayed with Andy, Venus, and Mali for over a week because we enjoyed ourselves so much! The rooms were comfortable and the location is fabulously central. The breakfast was great and whenever we needed any sort of help with anything, even unrelated things to our accommodation, Andy and Venus would be available to help us at almost any point... More

A great place to meet people as a solo traveller. Andy and Venus also go out of their way to help you with any day trips or other information you may need help with. Comfortable, clean, and within walking distance of lots of amazing places.

Venus and Andy do a fantastic job running this gh! As plant-eaters we felt taken care of wonderfully every breakfast. It was a true delight every day again with variations. Their little girl is a gem as well😘 You feel like being part of the family, they make your stay enjoyable and in the end we were sad to leave!... More

Love you guys! It's fun hooking you plant eaters (never heard that one) with special little things at breakfast that Venus can score locally in the morning market. Thanks so much! More

We were supposed to stay two days and finally extended for a week. Andy and his wife are very nice and helpful. Lots of tips and recommendation for activity in the region. Felt like home, we loved it :) The private rooms are comfortable and clean and the standard rooms ( we tried both) are also a good option !... More

Excellent hospitality on all fronts! Very good COMMUNICATION via email prior to our arrival. LOCATION was also perfect, very central to all sites in the area. FOOD was also amazing! I strongly recommend the Breakfast (omelettes) and the traditional Luang Prabang soup for dinner! WiFi is not too strong in all areas but they are working on replacing this. Otherwise,... More

We spent 5 nights here with our three young children. Exceptionally clean, fantastic food, and generally a brilliant place to stay. It has an ambience of visiting friends...Andy and Venus are incredibly welcoming and hospitable. I think it is reasonably priced, considering cleanliness and quality of accommodation. Would highly recommend.

Our family of four stayed at Manichan Guesthouse for five nights in September. We occupied two of the standard rooms for couples. Our experience at Manichan was very good. The eating area was right outside our rooms, so it was easy to get access to the free water, tea, coffee, and drinks. The rooms were nice and basic and accommodated... More
