Different from the usual bland hotels; old style furniture, large rooms, polished wood floors etc. The bathroom was adequate but could probably do with updating. Attentive staff, good choice at breakfast. It sits in beautiful grounds with good views & it has a clean pool.
As it is situated a short distance outside the centre of Luang Prabang it is quiet & peaceful - a free shuttle bus is available into town & back (runs to a schedule).
The spa is lovely & I had the best foot massage I'd ever had!
Would reccommend.

This hotel was a ray of sunshine ….the staff was attentive and breakfast was well presented and they would accommodate any reasonable request. The pool an oasis and although beginning to show its age the grounds are well maintained. The location is 10 minutes from any activity but a resort shuttle will take you into town on a crisp schedule. Special locations will cost you 3 dollars US (60000kip). The resort is quiet and peaceful.

An absolute stunning location, albeit it out of town. However, a shuttle bus runs semi regularly into town. As others have suggested this hotel requires an uplift and needs to catch up on their maintenance program. Staff are well intentioned but under resourced. The food was great in the restaurant, though service was slow. The breakfast was limited and the bar was poorly stocked.
The sister hotel in town was better stocked. It's clear covid has done some damage and finding staff is obviously an issue but despite this the incredible and beautiful grounds make it a worthwhile stay.

This hotel is in a beautiful setting with separate accommodations, restaurant and reception buildings set in beautiful very well maintained gardens. Maybe it was our mistake to visit at a very quiet time of year. The customer service was shocking! I mean absolutely appalling! Not sure if the staff need to be better trained or they just couldn’t be bothered. Coming back from an evening in town just after 10pm, the place is in darkness so we had to use our phone touched to make our way towards our building. We saw the light in the reception. We thought we would ask for last drinks to take to our room. The member of staff clearly wasn’t expecting to see anyone and was quickly doing his uniform up as we approached. He told us we couldn’t have a drink as the person whose job it was had gone home and we had to use the mini bar. That only contained 2 cans of beer which my husband didn’t drink. Next day we came back from sight seeing at 2pm and asked for a drink only to be told again to just use the mini bar. Clearly they couldn’t be bothered or interested in making additional money from our drinks. After pushing them, they did some drinks, but they could only be delivered to our room. That evening we came back from town early to get a last drink only to find the person who job it was to pour drinks had gone home early. They actually made him drive back in to pour our drinks rather than doing it themselves. It took 50 minutes!! To top it all, the breakfast was so bad my husband ended having a very small bowl of cornflakes on 2 mornings. This is a 4* hotel!!! When we went to check my husband asked the manager to remove the service charge on previous nights drinks that he brought to the room himself after the 50 mins wait. This was her chance for damage limitation, she just said it wasn’t possible as it was just include. The receptionist then failed to calculate the 3% credit card charge correctly and tried to double our whole bill. Other hotels we visited on our trip were also on the quiet side but it meant we got amazing service. It’s a massive shame this hotel has so much going for it, none of it is its people. Spend slightly less on the garden and invest in staff and manager training or employ staff who give a toss!

If you happen to be on the property once, you will never go anywhere when you are in Luang Prabang. It is the best property I have ever been to in Laos.
Royal breakfast, royal dinner, beautiful garden, and swimming pools are a true paradise to experience.

The hotel was chosen by our tour operator. We spent 3 nights there and were fully satisfied.
The room was very spacious and comfortable (except the pillows, very hard), with a nice balcony. The bathroom was functional but has not been restored.

A key differentiator for this hotel are the gardens, very beautiful and well kept. Very nice pool area too, to relax at.

Breakfast is very good and breakfast personnel kind and accomodating. The buffet can though get crowded when a group is around.

The hotel provides a transfer to the Villa Santi in town 5 times a day. So if you need full flexibility to visit Luang Prabang, that hotel could be a better option.

Also note that there are no shops around.
A good idea can thus be to get some water or other drinks in town.

This hotel is way out of town, but has a free shuttle bus. It has an old world elegance and the rooms and grounds are charming. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it was excellent. Staff are friendly and well-trained. We had a minor problem with the hot water, probably because some other guests were using it, and the bath plug didn't work so we were unable to use the bathtub. Otherwise a very good experience.

I stayed at the Villa Santi Resort in November, which the Villa Santi Hotel uses as an overflow property when they are full. The resort is located about 4 miles outside of town, but there is a free shuttle to the Villa Santa Hotel in the center of town several times a day. The last shuttle back is at 10pm, don't miss it. The resort property is beautifully landscaped with streams, bridges, and waterfalls. They were also working on a large swimming pool, but it was not yet open. The rooms themselves are nicely-appointed, with hardwood floors (beware of the little carpets in the room, as they can slip), and the beds include mosquito nets should you need them. All staff were fantastic, amongst the best I've encountered anywhere in the world. The town itself is a real treat, chock full of ancient temples and with a fascinating night market. The only negative thing about the hotel I can think of was that the breakfast buffet was a bit unsanitary, out in the open with gnats and flies all over the place. I wrote to the manager recommending that they build or purchase some kind of glass enclosure for the breakfast buffet, as most foreign tourists would find this situation a bit unappetizing. It may have already been corrected by the time you visit. The health code violations aside, the food is great.

i stayed here with my girlfreind for 5 days after backpacking in several countries over three months, so we after something nice to end our travels.
This is a fantastic resort, its slightly out of Luang Prabang town but onlyby about 10 minutes by shuttle, which the hotel provides at regular times.
The resort itself is in beutifully landscaped gardens with streams resident horses and some great chill out areas by a lake so you can watch the sun go down. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly although the language barrier is sometimes difficult. There is also a large pool surrounded by a decking area which has only recently opened. Our room was great with your own gowns, slippers, flip flops and complementary bottled water is supplied in the mini bar. All rooms have a balcony over looking the grounds and there is a huge bed with mossie net. Breakfast is included in the price and you have so much choice you will never get through it all. You van also have luch and evening meals which are reasonable priced, more expensive than the town but still only $3 or $4 for a Lao main meal.
The only thing missing in the room is some tea making facilities but thatsonly a small gripe
We originally tried to book through a internet provider and were quoted $87 per night. On arrival it transpired that they had not booked as all rooms had been filled. The resort was no where near full so whether the company is only allocated so many rooms I am not sure. My point was that when we arrived at the resort we were found a room and quoted $70 per night, so it is cheaper to contact the hotel direct.
If you want peace and quiet then choose this over the Villa Santi Hotel in the town as the Hotel is on the main road and does not have a pool

Thouroughly recommended
