An expansive, beautiful and well maintained resort. It is a wonderful place to stay and only ten minutes or less in the free shuttle to the markets of downtown Luang Prabang. Our rooms were comfortable, with excellent amenities, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet selection was fantastic and although the lunch/dinner menu was a bit limited in options, the one...

Stayed there during the new year holiday, and it was a great peaceful escape from town while being only 15 min away from the hotel shuttle stop at the post office. Staff need more training and quality supervision especially at front desk and shuttle. Front desk staff promised to make restaurant bookings but never followed up. We made shuttle bookings...

We stayed here six nights with our two girls. The grounds are beautiful and breakfast area overlooks the Mekong. The pool was a nice infinity pool but a bit chilly. The staff really didn't speak much English which makes it a bit challenging. It is about 10 mins outside town but was nice to have the gardens that our kids...

5 Star luxury in a tranquil, almost surrealistic setting, and with eager, obliging service. Sums up the experience at the Grand. Set in the sprawling former palace grounds of a prince, on the banks of the Mekong, with fantastic views of the river. There are other guests around, who you see at breakfast and on the shuttle to the town,...

Our room had a nice view of the gardens and Mekong. It was clean and maintained well. However, the hotel lacked any ambiance. It is a little far from town but they do offer shuttle service into the main town throughout the day. The breakfast was okay and included an omelet station and soup station. Our dinner in the hotel...

Pros: Beautiful rooms with a patio that has Stunning views of the landscape and river. Very friendly staff, including one particular sweet woman who loved to play hide and seek with our girls...our little one has taken to her so much that she runs to gives her hugs :) Frequent shuttles to and from town make it easy to get...

Beautiful well-kept grounds coupled with French colonial and Lao interior deco made this a welcoming resort to spend a few days in. The riverside location at the bend of the Mekong River is its main selling point, giving wide vista of the river, the farmed river banks and the mountain ranges beyond. The early morning mist gives the whole scenery...

The Grand is situated on the Mekong river side and the view from the rooms is incredible. Breakfast in near the river and it is a pleasure to eat under the Frangipani trees. Rooms are nice decorated and the staff very courteous. Wifi is ok.

Very impressed with the place. The property is very huge, beautiful, and peaceful...most importantly, it is by the river. I can enjoy the view of the Mekong rever by my balcony. Last but not least, the unforgettable hospitality. I truly, recommend this place to be one of the top picks while staying in Laungprabang.
