Very clean and pleasant staff. However the rooms have no sound insulation and are very noisy if someone is leaving early in the morning or a child is crying at night No fridge which is a nuisance in a hot climate. Also the shower is very small. Good position and the breakfast was good.

Old styled roofed two storey building with wooden flooring gives a different feel. The breakfast is served at the riverside like all others. No scope for vegetarians. The rooms are airy, specious and quite comfortable with a small sit out. there are coffee tea facilities. The main road is only two mnts walk through the monestry at the back.

Lovely location, superb breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Mekong River. They do have various satellite pensions around the area, in fact we were in one round the back which had 8 rooms and was very pleasant. We spoke to people who were in other buildings and they all said that they were lovely.

The Sala Prabang is a little different from your normal hotel as it is spread over different old houses. Our room was on the small side but had everything we needed except hanging space which was woefully lacking. The twin beds were only 2 foot 6 and wee definitely firm! The staff were friendly and helpful and the included breakfast...

Had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was staying in a building close to the main hotel which is opposite a temple so you do get a 6am wake up if you are a light sleeper but is quite pleasant to hear and you will soon drift off to sleep again. The...

We recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel and could not fault the location. It was a bit noisy with cats making a lot of noise but ear plugs helped. Staff were very friendly. Our room was in a building that was quite a walk to breakfast but the food was great and the setting was lovely. Bathroom was good...

We loved this hotel. Yes it is a little noisy but you are in an excellent location - so with some good ear plugs I slept very well. Our rooms were beautiful - we kept going back to the hotel after doing some travelling in Laos. Yes one of the rooms they gave us was musty but they changed us...

We loved Sala Prabang. My 3 daughters and I were there for a week in December including New Years. The staff was very nice and accommodating, the rooms were sparkling clean and the beds very comfy. Rooms on the street are a bit noisy in the day and evening but quiet down at night. Rooms off the street are quiet,...

Nice central hotel on the water with the restaurant area overlooking the river, which was nice at breakfast time. Room was ok, bit dingy and the bathroom was old. The room was noisy as it had two large wooden vents open to the street so any noise outside wakes you up. Breakfast was good with great omelettes! Would like to...

We arrived at 3am at the hotel after having a mishap with another guesthouse. The staff member who checked us in was very helpful especially after being woken up in the middle of the night. The manager who we spoke to on numerous occasions was also a standout and provided efficient solutions for any problems we encountered throughout our stay....
