The location of the hotel is in front of the back gate of Phou si Hill. The neighborhood is dense and the hotel is quiet with no shops. The hotel faces the Namkhan River. Some rooms can overlook the river. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Super Marcket and Niight Marcket is about 10 minutes on foot. Super Marcket can purchase miscellaneous goods, food and alcohol at a low price. Near the hotel there is a rental bike shop, a travel agency. It will be expensive if you arrange them at the hotel.
The room is compact. Air conditioning is not enough. Shower can always use hot water. There is a towel, but there is no toothbrush. There is no refrigerator, security box.

Good riverside location.

Had booked a twin room (2 beds), only to arrive and be taken to a room with 1 bed, with them saying all the twins were occupied. After a few minutes, they gave us a room with two beds, but we then had to switch rooms the next day. A minor inconvenience, but still annoying.

Bathroom had a sewage smell to it, and the water went out a few times during my stay. Hot water was not always available.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Laundry service is available.
Wifi is okay.

Breakfast is good – you can order eggs, any style, pancakes, etc; and you get bread. Plus fresh fruit juice, and you get a nice plate of fresh fruit as well.

My ground floor room was dark, damp, and noisy. There was no wardrobe/closet, much less even a bench or table on which to place a suitcase. The stink of sewer gas from the bathroom was unremitting. The shower head fell off the water pipe, provoking gales of laughter from the receptionist. By no means is this a hotel. It is a most inadequate guesthouse at best...

The room is big and well appointed with plenty of outlets, nice decor, clean sheets.

Unfortunately the bed is horribly uncomfortable. I am used to firm beds but this was one of the worst. This was too bad because otherwise it would be a great place to stay.

stayed for 3 nights, lovely family run place. Its more of a large guesthouse than a formal hotel, rooms are clean, cosy and have air con, en suite ( shower and loo in a wet room style ) , tv if you really need it. Beds are like most in Laos, big but firm. No restaurant but a small outside area to get breakfast - eggs in several styles, fruit or my favourite , banana pancake with honey. Perhaps the best thing were the hosts , it's a family run place and they were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They organised transport & trips for us and were ok speaking limited English. Remember to take your shoes off before walking in . Location is right on the river bank , get a room with a balcony to get a view. Location is fine for most things, an easy stroll to the night market and local eateries. Tuk Tuk needed to get across town. No Amex taken and as per normal you pay 3% on debit and credit card payments. Overall a very pleasant base from which to explore.

I stayed here for three nights, and would come back again. I had my own room (double) with a bathroom. The bed was super comfy, and everything was very clean. It had all the necessities, the shower was hot and powerful (which was what I really wanted).

Breakfast was also great, they give you a few different choices, but it's usually eggs, cereal or pancakes, and always comes with a lovely plate of fruit.

The staff here were also very friendly and kindly helped us book a bus to Vientiene. The steps leading up to the Mount Phousi are also basically opposite the hotel which was handy (we climbed up the opposite side, and climbed down to the hotel side).

Location was excellent as well. If you go left, there are restaurants, and if you go right, it's tourist street, which is just more restaurants.

We booked 5 nights at this hotel and although it was not a modern hotel with lots of little extras thrown in, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had room 10 which is at the back of the hotel with a lovely view from our balcony of the river. The room was clean but simply furnished. The room safe was broken so we kept our valuables with us, although I am sure they would have been safe in the room. Breakfast was served in a covered outdoor area next to the front of the hotel. The food was excellent and freshly prepared, and I would recommend the banana and mango shakes. Lee booked our trips and arranged our transport to the airport for onward travel. If you were looking fora tip top hotel with all mod ccoins this may not be the place for you, but if you are looking for a quaint place to stay a few minutes walk from the centre with a lovely view, then this may be the place for you.

Stayed for a couple of nights on my first ever trip to Luang Prabang. I booked this hotel at the last minute. It came with air+hotel combo. I should have done a little more research before booking it.

To start off with the positives (only one positive really) – they have one decent guy who meets and greets the guests the minute you arrive, to pointing out favorite things to do, to taking luggage to your room, to serving you breakfast in the morning. This all-around-guy tries his best to serve the guests to the best of his ability. More on him later.

Negatives – This is more of hostel and not a hotel by any means. You need to be aware that although it is advertised to be a “riverside” hotel it is not near the mighty Mekong (which is the one of the main reason to visit this town). It rather sits on the banks of a small yellow creek called Namkhan and granted their intention is not to mislead as the name clearly suggests. But frankly speaking this probably was the least cool and ragged property we saw in the entire loop. (“Loop” being the road than runs along this creek which eventually joins Mekong few kilometers down and loops back around town – most of the hotels are along either the Mekong or this creek). There are far more cooler, boutiquey, newer, and better up kept properties. It was just our bad luck not fully doing our research.

To top it off we were given the room at the basement with no window – the worst possible room in the entire facility. When asked the main lady if we could be moved to a better room but we were told they were fully booked. But judging by the number of people at the breakfast next morning I don’t think that was the case – upon which we asked the main lady again (who by the way seems either the manager or the owner). She looked rather irritated and said it would cost us $50 extra for us to get a room with a window. Paying close to $100 for this joint would have been preposterous – especially after finding out a day later that this along with the whole town was pretty empty of tourists because of it being a low season.

Later in the afternoon same all-around-guy noticing this utter injustice (haha…) handed us a key and sneaked us one room over – which at least had a window overlooking the dirt parking lot of the basement. Didn’t feel as cluster phobic as the night before.

All in all very pricey for what you get; and knowing there are hundreds of far better places down the road and around the loop – we left with a little bitter taste.

- Location.
It’s perfect. Very easy to access. The neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful. Namkhan river is more attractive than Mekong river since there are many bars and restaurants along the streets which are smaller than those in Mekong. You can see many travelers and locals in this area, which makes you feel that you are truly in Luang Prabang. Besides, it’s close to Night Market nice bars including well-known Utopia & Lao Lao Garden.
- Clean and Comfortable rooms and restaurant.
The owner and the staffs of this hotel are Vietnamese. They are hard working enough and try to do their best. Everything is very clean. Water pressure and air-condition is pretty good, WiFi works well. Furthermore, I don’t know why it is but I have a sound sleep every night.
