My husband and I just had a week away at the Raffles on the Palm in Dubai. Apologies if I sound like I’m gushing but here is my honest feedback:
Location: on the main palm frond, easy access to malls and airport, up the road from The Atlantis and Atlantis Royal
Rooms: very large, bed very comfortable, bathroom and toilet beautiful, dressing room - a little small for 2, balcony- massive- we faced the palm and pool - fab view
The cleaners and staff were superb, nothing too difficult to sort out. Felt well looked after.
Pool - very large, abundant sun beds and pool staff amazing, in particular Vincent who was attentive and very sweet
Beach: not my favourite, it’s clearly built on land fill so very hard underfoot, water quite still and concentrated, you could float in it, reminded me of the Dead Sea. Sand imported from Maldives so potentially soft but not deep so didn’t feel natural (probably only disappointment)
Piatta Restaurant: on the water so great location, food delicious but in general a little pricey. Bar upstairs a non starter, very under-utilised and felt it was missing a pre/post dinner drink casual scene
Matagi Restaurant: good food and staff superb, 3 new Japanese chefs have come on board so promising great things , bar potentially to be extended which I think would offer pre and post drinks with a cool scene, not quite there yet but potential . We loved trying the Sake recommended by Raphael and we felt the waitstaff in particular Qila was fun, and very attentive… thank you for making our evenings memorable
Sola Jazz Bar: cute but quite old fashioned, not our scene plus not a fan of people smoking cigarettes and cigars inside. Think it needs to evolve
Gym and Spa: absolutely fabulous, the massage was amazing, the space is restful and calming. Very high end.
The gym is fully fitted and run by Daniel who runs a fab gym space. I thought the Yoga studio was perfection.

In general I think The Raffles hotel is run smoothly and with efficiency. Breakfast staff were super attentive and we even got our chia seeds made into pudding. We would definitely return and felt like nothing was too much trouble in a very opulent, comfortable space. What I would suggest is for there to be somewhere to have a cocktail pre or post dinner with some nice modern lounge music and with a view of the palm.

We have been lucky enough to travel to Dubai a number of times,
But I must say our stay at Raffles the palm is by far the greatest trip we have taken,
What an absolutely stunning hotel,
Fantastic location on the outer crescent of the palm, Yet still easy to commute on and off the palm.

This hotel really does stand out,
The room was beautiful and spacious we had a corner room with stunning bathroom and panoramic windows with two balconies,
The hotel was highly maintained throughout our stay including daily garden up keep and all staff we had the pleasure of meeting were incredible & friendly.

A beautiful Pool and beach area with very comfortable sun loungers,
Fresh bottled water also provided.

We stayed half board,
Which I highly recommend,
Half board includes breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner,
Breakfast is taken in the buffet,
Lunch can be taken in the buffet or the on-site Italian restaurant which is between the pool and the beach overlooking the beach area,

Food in the buffet was of high standard, plenty of choice for most dietary requirements- lots of fresh food stations.
We travelled with a child with an allergy and after speaking with the restaurants they were both accommodating,
I will point that perhaps more allergy information could be made presentable on the food stations and the individual dishes,
However after speaking directly with the hotel and the restaurant staff they were more than helpful in ensuring that our child was kept safe during our trip. Preparing his food separately.

There is also a beautiful looking Japanese restaurant which unfortunately we did not take advantage of during our stay but I heard very good feedback.

I have to make a special mention to our butler Siva,
He was the most caring generous friend to us during our stay, thank you Siva,
You really did make our stay very special, what an absolute credit he is to the hotel.
We hope to return and see you again soon. ❤️

Also a special mention must go to John in the animation team he was fantastic with the kids and the football which was very popular during our stay my boy thoroughly enjoyed playing every day in fact it was almost as if he was at a football camp, just brilliant!

The kids club staff were fantastic,
A young lady called JoJo was especially friendly and excellent with the children.

We honestly did not want to come home,
Now home we are already looking to return as soon as possible.

Thank you again Raffles the palm for a fantastic stay.

definitely top of our list ❤️

First of all, Raffles The Palm is a stunning building inside and out. Huge chandeliers, a classic piano and red tones welcome you towards the lobby and the décor extends itself to the rooms as well. Reception staff is very quick, kind & efficient. We arrived very early from an overnight flight with an 11 month old and were quickly placed in our much welcomed upgraded room overlooking the pool/beach. The room had all the amenities you could ask for including walk in closet, balcony, large tub and a very cute cot with welcome toy for the baby. The doormen are also extremely helpful and kind, even with getting a last minute car at 6am for the airport with a baby seat!

Pool & beach area are very clean and service is good and attentive. My preference was to stay by the beach as it was a bit quieter.

The reason for 4 stars comes down to service & dining. I found that compared to other 5 star hotels like Jumeriah, St Regis, Four Seasons, etc. the service at Raffles The Palm was just not up to par with the prices. House keeping was always hit or miss (sometimes forgetting to change towels, empty bins, bring fresh water, etc.) and some of the waitstaff in restaurants didn't speak fluent English so it was hard to communicate.

In terms of the food, Jardin, the main buffet restaurant, offers a good variety of food, however the room itself is depressing especially when it's not crowded, a bit of background music would go a long way. The Italian & Japanese restaurants are decent, however the prices are outstanding for the quality (£80 for a small bottle of sake that would be £10 in London). Unfortunately, did not get a chance to go into the jazz bar as they wouldn't allow children. I would stay here on at least a half board option which will get you breakfast and lunch or dinner at the buffet (or a credit of roughly 295 dirham per person in the other restaurants).

My one recommendation to the hotel would be to make it more environmentally friendly - offer larger glass bottles of water in the room instead of small plastic bottles and use paper straws in drinks instead of plastic straws. Also offer more dairy free options at the buffet including dairy free milk.

Otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay at Raffles as a family!

We had a truly great 18 day stay at Raffles The Palm Dubai. Immediately after arriving we could begin to truly enjoy our vacation there. Our room was really great with a large terrace (which we used after the beach was already in the shadow) to enjoy some more sun and the sunset.

We enjoyed most of our breakfasts and dinner at the Hotel's buffet restaurant Le Jardin. The breakfast offered a lot of different food and was helped us to start the day very well. The employees were always happy to bring á la Carte (included) dishes, coffee and tea. The dinner was great, there was always a decent mix of fish, vegetarian and meat dishes. Furthermore, we liked the soups and deserts very much. The staff at Le Jardin was always very helpful and polite, especially Kiondo and Frederick made our meals at Le Jardin additionally enjoyable. Maybe one / two themed dinners per week would help to even improve the variety of the restaurant (for example beach BBQ night or Arabic night)

One evening we enjoyed dinner at the á la carte restaurant Mitagi. Eating good Wagyu beef in Dubai was a nice experience and our dinner tasted very well. It came as a reasonable additional fee (from the included dinner at Le Jardin).

The beach was always very clean and there were always enough towels in case more were needed. The towel service at the beach was good, but not as good as the service in the other parts of the hotel, whereas the service at the Italian beach restaurant Piatti was fine.

We enjoyed our workouts at the Hotel's fitness room. It offers a large variety of cardiovascular machines and weights for advanced workouts. Additionally, if we had trouble targeting a specific body area the gym staff was always prepared to help with their guidance. Especially Henry helped us to use the fitness room to its fullest potential. Free water (even cooled) and towels were provided directly in the gym to provide a great foundation for workouts.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Raffles and we hope to be back sometime soon.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel between the 2nd June 2022 and 12th June 2022 on a family holiday with my family bless them. I had my own Butlers one was called Divi and the other one was called Edwin. Both of these wonderful members of staff could not do enough for me, everything that I requested they got for me and was so attentive and so very kind. In fact all of the staff from the restaurant staff, the staff who greeted you when you pulled up in your taxi and was there immediately to open the door of the taxi for you and would carry any bags that you had especially a very helpful person called Peter who was always so nice and helpful. I can highly recommend the Italian restaurant the food was superb and again the staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet restaurant was very good and again the staff came up to you to ask your choice where you would like to be seated and also once seated and you went up to choose what you would like to eat, they would return to make sure everything was ok. I felt really special as a guest and I won’t stay anywhere else in Dubai now except the Raffles Hotel. I am really not praising the hotel highly enough and I was truly pampered even down to the staff around the pool area, who sorted out your sun loungers for you and kept you supplied with bottled water in an ice bucket. My room was truly beautiful and I could not get over the lovely furnishing in my room and the size was enormous, there was fresh fruit supplied everyday in the room as well as tea and coffee. The towels was changed daily and at night there was a turn down service. My Butlers even supplied me with my own china teapot! Divi and Edwin my Butlers were so lovely and looked after me so well that is why I won’t go to any other hotel. I can assure you like me you won’t be disappointed and I don’t normally do reviews but I felt that I must do in this instance, just to let the hotel staff at the Raffles Hotel know how grateful I am for making my holiday a truly wonderful and unforgettable experience so thank you so much to everybody Christine

Having now spent two weeks here I can honestly say the hotel and grounds are beautiful and very clean.
If you are here on half board which it seems everyone is then the main buffet food is very good the Japanese restaurant for which you receive a credit I found not so , it is also ridiculously overpriced. Two miso soups two beers and two main courses cost us £130.00 and that was after the 590 AED had been deducted.
In fact all the drinks here are overpriced two coffees from the pool bar around £13.00 and on it goes.
The Italian restaurant is the best here fairly priced decent portions and great service you could be in another hotel !! This restaurant is not owned by Raffles
that’s why.
We had a club room so we could also have breakfast and lunch on the 6th floor and again food quality better than main restaurant and service very good although between five and seven pm when they give free drinks it can take awhile to get served.
Housekeeping is a law unto itself I lost count of the number of times I had to call to ask for items they had forgotten to replace you will find the bathrobes only come in one size that don’t fit the average man I asked four times for larger and finally gave up.
To sum up its a five star hotel that’s had to go down market with sale prices and half board etc and unfortunately attracts guests who would not normally have booked .there is no dress code anywhere so it looks strange in these palatial rooms to see people that just can’t be bothered!!
We will not return four seasons my cost more but it’s worth every penny

Wow! What an opulent hotel and one where, when writing a review, I will run out of superlatives before the end.

We had booked our holiday directly with British Airways - an ocean view club room which was an enormous room with a separate dressing room, bathroom and toilet. The room had quality fittings and furnishings, exquisitely done and maintained to a very high standard. The bathroom featured a large rain head shower and separate large bathtub. Our big balcony had 2 sun loungers, 2 separate tables with comfortable chairs and a parasol.

Every staff member provided exemplary service and we ate exceptional food in the restaurants, namely Piatti and Bluthner Hall.
As we were staying half board on the ‘dine around basis’ this meant we were provided 590AED per couple towards our meals in any of the restaurants. We felt this was a generous allowance (it does not include the cost of drinks.)

Our favourite part was in the club lounge where we enjoyed breakfast, afternoon tea and then drinks during aperitivo hours. Our glasses were never empty with free flowing alcohol during this time. We were greeted by the lovely staff there and truly made to feel very special. It would be so difficult to single anyone out but such a pleasure chatting to the Club’s Executive Chef Reymi who made a point of chatting to each guest, Fahad, Club Supervisor (who showed us many fabulous photos of his home country and the wildlife there), and Evin who served us every afternoon and evening providing delightful efficient service throughout.

The outdoor pool is large with plenty of space to rest or read either in the sun or shade on comfortable sun loungers. Cans of drinking water and ice were constantly replenished in the ice bucket provided.

My husband made use of the gym every day and although fairly limited facilities he felt there was enough for him. The indoor pool was also so relaxing and made a nice change to swim there.

I went to the cinema within the hotel, an 80 seater with chairs that recline. I was greeted upon arrival and provided with some popcorn to enjoy throughout the movie. To my delight there was only one other person there so I felt like I had a private viewing of the selected film.

Overall, this was a stunning hotel and it exceeded any of our expectations. I thought some of the pictures online really did not do the hotel justice and it needs to be seen to be believed. When you add attention to detail including exceptional, quality service then you really cannot go wrong.

Well done Raffles The Palm. Thank you for making our 10 nights a most memorable holiday and one where we have a yearning to return very soon.

Our holiday to Raffles The Palm was a fabulous experience, made more special in that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary whilst visiting. Robert clarified our special occasion during check in and we were surprised by a wonderful display in our room on our anniversary - we had double swan artistry made out of towels with rose petals, balloons as well a beautiful and delicious strawberry mousse cake. Mirzo and his team had taken the time to make this special surprise and it was appreciated.

The standard of the room was high with any extra toiletries, water/coffee or fruit supplied with a smile by staff.

The room and hotel including pool area is kept very clean and comfortable.

We chose half board given that this hotel is on the palm and there aren’t many restaurants nearby (unless you travel up to the Atlantis). The breakfast options were extensive and kept well supplied. Some guests seemed more aware than others to request bowls of strawberries which were kept under the buffet for them (this was slightly odd). The food at dinner offered a decent international buffet with special nights throughout the week adding the option of BBQ.

We had one occasion whereby the lights in our room flipped a fuse switch but Shakheel from maintenance was helpful and efficient in rectifying this.

Finally we were wished ‘bon voyage’ by Farhan in the restaurant during our last night’s dinner with another delicious cake!

In conclusion, this hotel’s standard is maintained by the hard work of many staff who are all happy to assist. The price of alcohol such as wine is not cheap but this is no different to other 5* hotels in Dubai. If you are looking for relaxation and luxury, you will not be disappointed.

Stayed her with my children for 8 nights on a half board basis.
It was a great overall stay, but I think because they have recently opened there was some slacking in terms of organisation and being aware of the rules for the half board basis, although that is no exception.
There was a lot of confusion and mis information from staff members as to what is included in the half board basis. I was given many versions at check in I was told 6 and under is free and adults have a 295 AED allowance per day. They also gave me a sheet which said we can dine around at any of the restaurants and in room dining was also an option. Then at the restaurant I was told no a 6 year old is not free they get half of adult allowance (147.50 AED). I ordered in room dining once and they delivered without a problem next day I was told no in room dining is not included. When I used it by the pool again they would bring a cheque to sign for charging me saying that it was not included in the half board basis. It was all very confusing and messy no two staff told me the same thing. Upon check out they gave me a bill which included many of the meals that should have been on the half board basis so I had to go through each individual item correcting them one by one. This was annoying and lengthy meaning it took us longer to check out. It is not ideal for us or the hotel to have such disorganisation when you use a half board basis.
Aside from this the meals at the restaurants I tried Piatti, Mataki the in room dining and the beach/ pool menu I have to say the food was great both me and the kids enjoyed this.
The best service of this hotel was the Kids Club. I cannot praise the Kids club and the team enough. They provide the best children’s care. The staff always greet children with a smile and make great effort to keep the kids busy and happy. They had a wide range of activities indoors and outdoors. John was in charge of outdoor activities and did an EXCEPTIONAL job at it. He would come round calling the children to get involved playing all activities that they all enjoyed. He kept a close eye on them making sure they were well looked after. They did face painting, water balloon fights, football volleyball and many others. I cannot fault the kids club and if I were to return to the Raffles it would be 90% because of their amazing services that both my children and I were very pleased with.
I have to also thank the Deputy Manager at the front desk for helping check us in after a long delay. Also upon check out she offered her apologies for a mistake that had occurred with childminding/ babysitting service that I had booked and it was not followed through properly due to another member of staff oversight of the matter. I was very disappointed with this but the handling by the Deputy Manager made me appreciate that she had taken the time to follow the matter and come to me and address the matter. Her professionalism diffused a very bad situation that I would otherwise have raised a complaint and not wrote such a review. So once again her service was very professional and worthy of praising.

We are heading home after a truly exceptional stay at Raffles The Palm Dubai. Every member of the team was super friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was amazing and the housekeeping team worked hard with lovely personalised touches that put Four Seasons to shame. I haven’t experienced a buffet as good in terms of choice and quality. Homemade Granola, Hummus and Pastries we lovely but really everything was top notch. Pool was amazing with fantastic swim-up bar with only quality drinks. Rare to call it out but pool staff were impeccable with really professional life guards that I noted were watching kids at all times often 1:1. The hotel arranged a dessert trip for us at a good rate. The Piatti Italian restaurant at the beach is as good as it gets in any category of service, food quality and ambiance I. Even checkout was fast and professional with Priya. This really is an incredible hotel on absolutely all fronts. The Hotel Manager should rightfully be very proud and I would encourage him to share this review at the group level. The very best you will find in Dubai, believe me you will be treated like royalty and love every minute……

The club room is for breakfast light lunch, afternoon tea and cocktails and canapés. The other restaurants are for evening meals. In the club room everything is included. In the restaurants no drinks are included even with the half board option. personally, I would never go without club lounge.
