Our family regularly visits Dubai and after a wonderful stay at the Arabian Courtyard, in April 2012, we decided to return to the hotel in December 2012. We booked the hotel from the 28 December 2012 to the 1 January 2013. We paid for the day before arrival, so that our rooms would be ready and available when we arrived...

First and foremost, please accept our sincerest apology and deeply regret that you and your family had to go through the unpleasant experiences on this trip. We value your concern in taking the time to post your feedback regarding the short comings. We noted the disappointing episodes with Lucy - our Guest Service Agent, however, not only her; we also...

Stayed here last year. The spa is very nice and very good for massage, I highly recommend it. The rooms were nice, it was clean overall. Service was good, but they seem to be very busy. It's a nice hotel, I just wonder whether it was worth the price.

We stayed at this hotel for one night during a 36-hour whirlwind tour of Dubai. The rooms were clean, showers were great (much needed after long travels), and we had a view of the Dubai Museum across the street that was nice. We didn't take advantage of the spa, but the Sherlock Holmes bar downstairs is one of the few...

The hotel is centrally located near the historic area of the city, near the Gold Souk, the Dubai Museum, the Textile Souk, the Spice Souk and the Creek. The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful. I would stay there again. It would have been nice to have unlimited free wi-fi access, and a shuttle to or from the...

The hotel is very convenient to the historic centre of Dubai. The buffet breakfast was good and plentiful, we were able to make use of the pleasant pool area, and the free shuttle buses were a bonus. We stayed twice, once in the front with a good view of the Dubai Museum (very picturesque) and once in the back, which...

This hotel is in an excellent location overlooking the museum and mosque and is just a very short walk to the souqs and abra docks. Free valet parking is a real bonus, as is the free limited wifi. Staff are friendly and provided good service. They even ensured we had food available for our early morning checkout. We had a...

This hotel turned out to be much better than I expected given the area.. the service has been very good, the room is comfortable, clean and with basic amenities. Noise is minimal.. it was the quietest night that I have had in Dubai! (but my room is on the backside of the hotel). Shopping is in all directions outside the...

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
