I love this guest house. It has been maybe 4 years since I last visited, but still pretty much the same place as ever!
First night it was a room with fan only, no aircon. I would recommend to upgrade to the aircon rooms for a few more dollars. Rooms with aircon are cleaner, nicer, more spacious.
It's been a few years since been here, so maybe a little bit tired in some places, but still incredibly hospitable.
The staff are the loveliest and will do anything to help.
A great place to relax and chill away from the busy pub street, but only 20 minute walk away maybe or super cheap tuktuk.
It has character this place and a place I feel safe.
Met some lovely guests also.
Food is amazing here.
Organised tuktuks for us, an early morning sunrise tour of Angkor Wat, and organised the overnight sleeper bus tickets from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville. Also, free airport pick up which is brilliant.
A nice place to chill, time to yourself and a good base for exploring the area. Also, trustworthy staff who can book further transport which was great. Saves a lot of hassle.
Since last time there is now a new wee bakers round the corner. Carry on past Happy Guesthouse, to the end, take a right down the small lane and the building on the left is the bakers. I didn't have a chance to try but it has been recommended to me.

We spent two amazing days in Siem Reap and the lovely family running this Guesthouse made it even more enjoyable. Friendly people, smiling faces. Amazing local food at reasonable prises without any problems with Khmer/Tourist prices. We also found an amazing Tuk Tuk driver there who was our guide to the temples and drove us to the airport. We already miss the place and its atmosphere.

There are lots of rave reviews on tripadvisor about this place, so I found it disappointing after the rave reviews. The room we had was dark, wall painted a puky green, television was a big bulky 1980s set with an unwatchable picture. Staff woke us up early bangng and crashing around. On a positive note, staff were friendly and food was good. Perhaps I just got the only naff room?

Great value family run guesthouse in a good location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but cosy and very good value for private rooms, with comfy beds, tvs, private bathroom, aircon is a few dollars extra, but we just had a fan which was fine. Food and drinks are cheap and tasty. Would definitely stay here again!

My parents, brother, my then fiancee and I spent a blissful week at happy guest house in December of 2013. As probably has been said many a time, it really does live up to its name, and was a happy haven for us all.

Tucked away on a cul de sac in the quiet(er) Wat Bo neighbourhood of Siem Reap, this is the single MOST value for money accommodation, I have ever stayed in during my travels. The owner and in charge of the guesthouse - Miss Chorpoan is very friendly and capable, something that the staff and team who work there have imbibed. You are surrounded by smiles constantly .

The staff are always ready to help, be it with temple itineraries or restaurant locations, they even booked our bus back to Thailand for us.

Happy is a quick and easy walk from the river front and night market and a slightly longer walk from pub street . There are plenty of tuk tuks parked right outside associated with Happy and the staff will be ready to hook you up with one for the temple visits .

There is a nice lounging area as soon as you enter with comfy chairs. The whole atmosphere is very laid back cafe with some nice books available and cute kitties wandering around . They have a decent menu which was veggie friendly, a nice mix of continental and Cambodian, and also a beer selection. You can just sit here for hours together, and not even feel the time pass.

The rooms are behind the lounging area, in 4 story building, so if you have difficulty climbing, request a ground floor room. We took three different rooms, one a double with hot water, one a double with cold water and one a single. All the rooms had air con and were clean and comfy. Linens and cleaning were on request. There is a laundry service available in house as well.

I loved Happy . It as exactly the kind of wonderful place you want to discover when you travel. A family run establishment that is warm and cozy. Somewhere to come back to when you are tired and it feels like home. Without a doubt we will be coming back ! One of the happiest weeks of my life.

I travelled with two friends and stayed two nights here. Price is very good and the location is great, in a quiet area close to the river and walking distance from downtown.

The room was spacious and clean. The courtyard with restaurant was cosy and good good and decently priced.

Staff can help with booking bus tickets etc.

How much depends where you're coming/going to. Tuk tuk from Pub street $1-$2, they will pick you up from airport for free if you have a booking. They have their own fleet of tutuk drivers always willing to drive you around. A tour of the temples about $15. Not near Angkor Way. Hope this helps.
