Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Angkor Village Hotel is an Oasis of peace and quiet. It´s exceedingly well kept and flows over with trees, palms, ferns and flowers. The room was spacious, breakfast was superb and the staff about the friendliest, kindest and most attentive you could imagine. It´s located in a quiet area of town but in easy walking distance to the river with its foods stalls and to some really nice restaurants. When going back to Siem Reap/Angkor we wouldn´t have to think long where to stay. Thank you to everybody there.

I am struggling where to begin! From the second I entered this hotel I was in heaven. Get out your camera because it is a photo shoot just walking to your room. The lobby, private spaces, pool, and restaurant (that is separated from the lobby by a fantastic water lilly pond) are very well maintained and perfectly lit to make your photos spectacular. The room was big and comfortable and nicely done. Each night for turn down, Lotus flowers were placed on my bed and in my room everywhere. In addition, fresh chocolate chip cookies and a different story or fable to read. There are no TVs in the room, which is pleasant. If you feel you need TV, there is one that will accommodate your desires. A refrigerator with freezer, coffee, sodas, beer and water all supplied. I had a margarita every night at happy hour (no sugar) made by Thanin and Sokum. Many thanks to keeping this California girl satisfied. Every time I came and went from the hotel I was greeted by the warmest, most friendly staff. (Lum-kim, and Sinan) Always remembered me and made me feel like I was part of the family. I don’t typically like to stay in the same place twice, but I have to admit that I will come back to Siem Reap and stay here again. If you get to breakfast before 9 AM, the pink and white lilies are open in the pond with fountains and cascading vines. You will be greeted by the greatest wait staff ready to cater to your needs. You get warm milk with your coffee and a nice assortment of breakfast choices. I only had one treatment here (It was wonderful) because I was so busy doing all things Siem Reap. I only stayed four nights and wish I had stayed at least six. The shopping is so good here and the hotel is walking distance to pub street and many choices of Bars, cafés and clothing shops with fantastic finds. I found more here than Thailand. Pretty much everyone accepts dollars and you will have no trouble as an american using cash or credit. An ATM, French, café, and fresh smoothies across the street. My review is getting too long, but I could go on and on… If you are not satisfied with this hotel, you probably aren’t satisfied ever!!!

First impressions- the gardens are amazing and they have overly helpful staff, a welcome drink and lots of services. We enjoyed a massage which was amazing, dined out with some lovely meals for a reasonable price. The breakfast has an array of many things. The spring rolls are well cooked. The rooms are absolutely brilliant. You have one person to do your room. They make it for the morning and return to turn your bed down each evening. Leave fresh flowers and tidy up the towels. Couldn’t ask for more.

Oasis amid the heat. This is a gorgeous hotel within walking distance of night market and day market and central Siem Reap. Pool is so refreshing after a day of visiting temples. Breakfast Buffet has everything you could want. The staff bend over backwards to be kind and helpful. The rooms are lovely.

With lots of greenery, outdoor space and a pond by the restaurant, this hotel has a lovely feel to it. The rooms are all like individual “bungalows” and are spacious with good showers and facilities. The bar area is lovely, happy hour giving 30% off the rather excellent cocktails and dinner was great value for money and delicious, with reasonable options for vegetarians. The staff were super friendly and attentive.

It is hard to express in words how an amazing experience it has been… the Hotel is stunning, each venue is overwhelmingly perfect and beautiful. But the staff’ personal touch created an even more memorable experience: Thank you to the FO Team (Lum, Kim, Lea and all the others) who perfectly arranged our daily activities, taking such good care of us. Thank you to the Bar gentleman and to Rady for the great cocktails and warm conversation. Thank you to the Restaurant team for being so kind and lovely both during breakfast and dinner service (both delicious). Thank you to Vanny for the wonderful massage… We don’t know if it is clear enough from our words, but we did not want to leave… We strongly suggest this Hotel for an amazing Siem Reap and Angkor Experience!

If you are in Siem Reap and are looking for that authentic Cambodian feel while also living luxury, this place is for you. The accomodation was absolutely stunning, situated amongst beautiful water gardens and greenery. The villas are beautifully decorated, and the staff are highly accomodating to anything you need. The beds were perhaps firmer than we would normally prefer, however, perfect location as it is a short tuk tuk ride to pub street.

Beautiful hotel, lovely setting and great location in the town. The room was lovely and very well appointed. We had a view of the pool and with all the greenery it was delightful. The hotel caters well for babies - we were able to get a clean and proper travel cot and the restaurant had proper highchairs that were clean. Breakfast was excellent buffet style and was the nicest we had puur whole trip. I’m just dropping a star as the hotel charges unfairly for taxis - to Phnom Penh city they charge $90 but for the airport they charge $120. Fixed price for taxi from PP airport to city is $15 and on a 6 hour drive the extra distance is negligible.

This is a very tranquil and nice hotel with lits of vegetation. A very nice restaurant between the two ponds with water fountains served great food. Especialle loved the deep fried vegetarian balls and papaya-salad. A minus for a very noisy AC (so we could not hear nearby traffic) and squicy bed. For dinner I strongly recommend the Urban Tree Hut not far from the hotel, and 1/3 of the price. If ever back in Siem Reap we would stay there again. Great service and staff.
