Really close to the bus terminal and to the beach. The rooms are nice and clean, so are the shared bathrooms. Nice and cozy breakfast is included. The interior is kind of old-fashioned, however the thousands of souvenirs and decorations make the place even more comfortable.

The Hostal it self is located very close to the beach and all other required amenities needed to live comfortably. If you want to go down town then it is also just a short bus ride away. The owner operator Russ was extremely helpful and organized. After a long hot sweaty bus ride he welcomed us in with some cookies,...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Sunny Days hostal for almost two weeks over the christmas holidays. We were on the last leg of our travelling and this place was just what we needed to unwind and chill before our journey home. On arrival we met with Ross who gave us juice and cookies while we signed in. I thought...

Thanks for the review , you have put it all into words beautifully - hostal Sunny Days is just as you describe it, it is not boutique or something super special – we just try to do what we do well!

On arrival the owner greeted with a glass of juice and cookies, which was exactly what i needed after 10 hours of riding. Staff is super helpful and friendly. I had problems crossing the border with my chilean motorcycle, but with the insight of the owner I managed to slip through to peru. Friendly place!

Thanks for the review and very pleased to hear the reviewer made it through to Peru. Motor vehicle overlanders with vehicles purchased in Chile have recently been experiencing difficulty crossing the border to Peru because they do not have RESIDENT STATUS in Chile even though the pardon is in their name. They are not being allowed to enter Peru!

I think it is absolutely impossible to find a better hostel in Arica. Ross is super friendly and knows everything that you could possibly ask him. His wife Beatriz also is very kind. The breakfast is amazing and you are asked to take as much as you like. If you want to rent a surfboard or book lessons Ross will...

We thank Natalie for her review - she has such a bright personality that the sun shines every day where ever she may be. She is right, Yoyo is always pleased to share his love of the sea and surfing with all he meets. Hostal Sunny Days provides an ample breakfast to start the day and endeavours to provide answers...

I liked the hostal very much. The owner is a very nice guy, that helped me out in many cases! Besides that, the hostal has two very well equipped kitchens and one of the best breakfasts I could find on my trip thourgh Peru, Bolivia and Chile (that justifys the slightly higher price for the night).

We thank Tom de Bavaria for his review and appreciation of the way we try to help our guests enjoy their travels through better first hand information. Breakfast in our opinion is the most important meal of the day for travellers so we provide an all you can eat spread . Travelling you never know where the next meal will...

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at sunny days considering their high reviews and their certificate of excellence. We stayed for one night and that was more then enough. The biggest downfall of this place is it's cleanliness. The whole place is dirty and dusty and is in need of a good clean. We opened the kitchen draw and...

Like the reviewer we are extremely disappointed that they made no attempt to mention their discontent and prefer to denounce our hostal in the social media. We are also travellers and have stayed in accommodation with bed bugs so we know the experience and were sufficiently brave to inform the management with proof of dead examples that they had a...

Good place to relax - quiet rooms, rooftop terrace, large kitchens for socialising, quirky decorating, great breakfast and very helpful staff. Really close to bus station. Owner Ross will even buy any left over Peruvian soles if you have come from Peru.

We thank Rachel for her review. Sunny Days is home to us the owners and my wife has decorated the hostal accordingly. It is a humble abode but we make up for that by treating our guests as family which is why it is a good place to relax. But then Arica is also a relaxed seaside beach town so...

The management here is off the highest caliber. Everything I needed he helped with, especially planning to cross the border into Peru during a strike by the Chilean customs employees. The second I showed up he invited me to sit down for breakfast and to worry about the paperwork after. Highly recommended.

We thank Maureen for her review and kind words. We try to treat our guests like family – a good breakfast to set the tone for the day. Then off to the beach for some sun, sea, sand, and surfing with Yoyo, Arica’s special surf instructor – what more can you ask for as a holiday
