Hotel rooms are very good and the hotel is good for a business venue. Staff speak minimal English; it took about 5 members of staff to realise that I wanted an iron! Relatively isolated. Hot water pools are excellent and so is the spa.

Noisy, dirty rooms, the waiters are not polite, golf caddies playing golf, always....you feel like an alien and they always check you.....waiters with a very bad english but kind, hainan staff with no culture and good manners. Place was beautiful except the most important: the golf course, full of stinky water, with bad grass, not well playable. We asked the... More

I stayed there for one night during a business trip back in 2014 summer. It was built to be THE hotel in Bo'ao, although I think it is, everything could have been just a little bit better for me to give it a solid 5-star (except for its premier location). An example is the breakfast buffet. I've been to quite... More

The BFA Hotel Ba'oa is representative of the Chinese power, huge entrance, big lobby, big restaurant, big rooms, many spa, many pools. But I didn't see the parking, the hotel was almost empty and we parked our cars every day at the hotel entrance. The hotel hight light is really the 37 different hot spring pools. Each pool with different... More

I stayed for 6 nights for business meetings including a very boaring weekend. I was surprised that there is no beach and unfortunately the weather was rainy and windy . There is nothing around within walking distance and Bo'ao is a 15-20 minute taxi ride. Jade Belt is an island across the river. You can take a 59RMB boat ride... More

Beautiful hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely and very clean! Not much to do immediately outside the hotel and no beach was all that was disappointing. Hot springs were great!! And good variety of food.

The place obviously has deterriorated since it was opne for the Asia Forum. The gardens and hot springs need much more attention. The exteriors is peeling and rusty. Club lounge has nothing to offer and works on a dunious schedule. Problematic check in becasue of failing connection to get the American express card though. Smoking permiates most eating areas and... More

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff with limited English. Nice pool but no beach. The hotel is very isolated, plan on eating every meal there (which isnt overly excited). Would stay here again if I had to go to Boao. But I wouldnt plan another trip to Boao.

This elegant hotel is hard to fault: beautiful location, tasteful public rooms, fine restaurants and so on. Having passed through a year before, one was eager to stay a few nights, It is, one must admit, a 'business hotel' mostly but there are sights to see, walks around the Lake and hot pools galore. The food is excellent and the... More
