It's not a pleasant experience at all. The hotel was a good price in appearance. Has good beach access and to minuscule pools that maintain a weird green color. The restaurant is fair for the price you pay. The real problem comes when you have to deal with the people. Some receptionists are really rude, and the manager it's simply incompetent. We had a problem because twice 2 people supposedly working for the hotel entered our room using a master key without knocking. The excuse was they did not know we were staying at the hotel. Not safe at all having random people entering your room. Apart from that this hotel thinks having the room service clean your room at 7 pm ots a great idea and experience for the people estaying there. The experience overall was so bad and so unpleasant that we decided to leave one night early. Of course, they did not reimburse any of the money for that night. If you have the opportunity yo stay here. Please let it pass. Thank me later.…

We booked a one bed hotel stay for one night. Worst customer service experience ever. They tried charging for everything they could! $40 dollars for towels with sand on it ??? Like how do they expect clients to come back when they want to charge for POINTLESS THINGS THAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE STAY FEE. Also, they charged $50 dollars extra at check out because they said they did not charge us for the two of us for the room…… come on now make it make sense. The room smelled moldy, the shower was sooo small you hit yourself trying to move in it. They only give you one card and in order for you to have electricity in the room the card must be inserted …. Also don’t book any tours with the agency in the building they charge triple the price than what your guides do.

Stayed with my partner for just over a week, had a great time from start to finish, the views from the hotel are lovely, Nadia(one of the receptionist) was super helpful and welcoming. I really do not have anything bad to say we would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Cartagena :)

Our stay at the Regatta started with first passing through the revolving door to the hotel. We were greeted with a "gracias smile as we arrived to the front desk for a very late check in at 11pm. The check in was smooth, then we were taken to our room. The room was exaclty as depicted on the internet, everything was so very clean and the bed was to die for. Provided (4) incredible nights of sleep. TV had all the bells and whistles. I might add the air conditioner kept the room perfectly cool and comfortable. The hotel was right infront of the water and spectaclur view of the sunset and sunrise. We did visit the (2) pools, modest in size but very clean and perfect for a small party of 2 to 5. Lastly breakfast served buffet style and plenty to have from either fresh cut fruit, eggs and cereal. The cappuccino was my choice instead of coffee which hit the mark. People were all very friendly. Clearly a super place to stay in Cartgena. Thank you Regatta for all the attention and excellent service! …

Do NOT stay here, The only good thing; it's across the street from the beach. I think we had a standard room. It does NOT COME with fridge, microwave, hairdryers. Nothing. We asked for a fridge and it did not work. Typical. The bathroom was very small, and only 1 person at a time. The free breakfast rated C. Dried scrambled eggs, miniature empanadas.. which were quite tasty. Dry cereal, and fresh fruits. The dinner menu was surprisingly good, We had the Salmon and I chicken nuggets, Very good and reasonable, The staff were all very nice and helpful. One odd incident happened; They only gave us one key card, When I asked for another one, a man came up to our room and opened the door. I had to BEG for a 2nd key, Was very aggravating and strange, Would we stay here again... NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

This was my third time staying there and was great like always. Love that this hotel is few of the hotels in front of the beach with a bar; the staff is very good and always willing to help and the location is unbeatable. Rooms are extremely spacious and you can find lots of good restaurants close to the hotel. Area is very safe

SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE! The pictures are just a facade it looks clean and nice but that is far from truth. we payed 600US for each room for 3 nights and both were horrible. The cleaning personnel is filthy and doesn't even use correct cleaning products. We were in our room when they did bathroom cleaning and they only half-touch the toilet. We didn't get towels until a day later when we asked for them. The mini-fridge was not working properly and was rusty all around. The soap and conditioner in the room was so cheap it didn't bubble. The shower was filled with soap-scum. The view would've been great if the windows weren't completely foggy. We kindly talked to the front desk personnel who dismissed our claims by saying it would get fixed and we would get a suite on the next day due to being completely booked. This never happened, we didn't even get contacted again. When we asked later that same night for extra shampoo they said they would get right on it. I'm still waiting for it now. To list a few more things! - The elevators are so old I am afraid to get on them. - They play evangelical music on the bar which is bizarre. - They charged me 3,000COP for a tea bag. - No water in the rooms - Door and Lock are so weak and look as if they have been forced open before. - Trash bins don't get cleaned on a daily manner.…

Good day respected guest, we regret not having lived up to your expectations. We understand the opportunities for improvement that we propose and we will review the cleaning issues that highlight us. In the period of time he visited us we were in high occupancy and we had no room alternatives and we regret that this was not communicated by the reception staff. Currently due to complaints like yours, we have performed a deep maintenance on our elevators so that they offer an optimal service. We do not have water in the rooms but you can request this and other drinks at the reception. We appreciate your comments as they help us improve.

One day I arrived my room and the service had not made the cleaning. I had to call to ask for it. Also the WiFi is awful and it disconnected constantly. It would be better if you install more routers in order to improve WiFi signal

I’ve stayed at this previously and had a good experience (2016) so I rebooked this hotel for our quick Jan 2019 trip. The experience was unfortunately not as good. While all the staff was wonderful and friendly, the rooms are in definite need of attention - specifically the bathrooms. They are run down and in need of attention. Additionally there is a moldy smell to the hotel and the beds are very hard. Sheets however were good (and I’m picky about sheets). The restaurant was great. Breakfast was included and it was delish. Attention of the wait staff equally good. The elevators have issues too. Buttons to call the elevators don’t all work on all the floors. Unless this hotel invests some money into their property, I won’t return for a 3rd stay. Which is unfortunate, because hotel is in a prime location.…

I sent an email to two weeks prior to our arrival, notifying them about an early arrival, requesting an early check-in and that we were going to pay for it (not Free) that we were also traveling with a baby. Management never got back to me. So here we are; we arrived early, asked the front desk person to please check in earlier that we were going to pay what ever they charged, that was not an option. They said they had no rooms available(Not true, a maintenance staff told me they never let anyone check in early, even If they what to pay). We needed to sit in the lobby until 3pm with a tired baby. All of the sudden the porter/bell man said " oh I'm handling your request faster , but don't tell anyone" What!!!! they say that to have you tip them for "working" on your behalf.. That's stealing.. Ok so things got worse... We decided to go to the pool and we asked the front desk for towels, they did not have any!!!! We went back to our room to find out there were no towels either, you need to request them at the front desk. We call the font desk 3 times and no one came with our request. I had to go and chase a maintenance lady for towels. The safe was not working, here we are again calling front desk, they kept telling us a staff is on the way 45 minutes later nobody came. We had to go down and wait another 15 minutes for someone to go up and help us with the safe... 8am their were no BREAKFAST LEFT... Look at the picture... This happens every morning... We end up checking out and went to Hotel Estelar Manzanillo, which is beautiful.. NEVER AGAIN... Hotel Regatta needs to work on Customer Service They are TERRIBLE...…
