This is a modest but comfortable hotel close to the city wall of Cartagena and easily walkable to all the city's most popular squares, bars and restaurants. My room was spacious and comfortable with a king bed and wood paneled ceiling. There was air conditioning, a fridge and a security box, although it was a joke: not screwed down and...

This is our second stay at this little hotel in the walled old city. Very conviently situauated with a little shop across the road that sells a bit of everything from beverages to snacks. We booked the family room this time as we were travelling with 2 young children. The room was ample and cleaned well each day. The breakfast...

This hotel is located in the northern part of the Centro Historico. It is only 5 or 6 blocks away from major sites such as the Clock Tower, Plaza de Santo Domingo which also contains the 16th century church, Plaza de Simon Bolivar, Las Bovedas, and much more. The hotel itself is located one block away from a small plaza...

Location: really, we walked to everything in Cartagena from here. Bocagrande, Getsemani, San Francisco and all over downtown. We didn't find it sketchy at all and I felt perfectly fine walking around at night in the neighbourhood. Really quiet. Staff: Jorge Luis was really lovely, despite our poor Spanish. Jorge (Van?) was also really helpful, whenever we asked questions of...

I stayed in Cartagena for three days. This place is basic, clean, staff is ok, breakfast is good on a la carte basis. Of course, a swimming pool was much missed. Fair for a short stay and good price - quality.

Spent two nights here in early January. Hotel is located in the old town, which is great, though a bit on the outskirts. A little skiddish at night, but also means there's little noise. Has AC and hot water. My only qualems with this place is that we asked the front desk lady to call the Marsol bus to reserve...

We stayed 3 days at this hotel. I wanted to emphasize that A/C worked because I read before we went that that has been the issue for other guests. The breakfast included fresh fruit, freshly made juice, coffee, banana bread and your choice of main dish (omelette, eggs, arepas, etc.) Really good! The hotel is in a very good location...

I stayed for 3 nights at the Puertas de Cartagena. It is in the old city so I guess one can not expect much. This hotel got 2 stars from me for the fact it was clean. That is it. Air con is bad, the breakfast and mutual area is tiny and HOT. The breakfast it self was to me...

We spent two nights here during our honeymoon in August 2014 and experienced some awful customer service. While I would agree that it is a fairly clean hotel with a decent (albeit small) breakfast in a central location, we were treated poorly by the night manager to the point that it completely ruined our stay. On the second night we...

We stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay here as it was in a great central location and our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfast was good with banana bread, fresh fruit and juice, eggs, arepa etc. The hotel was very secure as guests must be buzzed in for entry and there is a safe in the...
