The remarkable Pikaia Lodge gave us the experience of a lifetime. From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed with the magnificence of this extraordinary place. The location and panoramic views are simply breathtaking. We were greeted by the amazing Norman and his warm and welcoming staff who made us feel immediately at home and excited to be there. The accommodations are second to none. Pikaia Lodge provides you with the most comprehensive and thoughtfully planned out daily schedules allowing you to do, see, and take in everything Galapagos has to offer. The daily briefings and itineraries provide an unmatched experience, crafted to enable the ultimate Galapagos vacation. There is no guess work required. The naturalist guides who accompany you on the daily excursions are experts in the field, providing invaluable information and insight about the wonders, the history, and the uniqueness of the Galapagos Islands. (Big shout out to Mario- you’re the #1 guide!) If you’re looking for a land-based Galapagos alternative, nothing beats Pikaia Lodge. Not only is the location unmatched - sweeping views atop a crater - the service is impeccable. They know what you need before you need it. The attention to detail and personalized service makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed. The cuisine is next-level, incorporating traditional Ecuadorian dishes and flavors. Executive Chef Cristian Puente is a culinary master. Five stars is not enough to exemplify the greatness of Pikaia Lodge. Our dream is to one day return- it was the most wonderful vacation we ever had! Thank you, Pikaia Lodge!

Excellent overall experience. Very friendly and responsive staff. We had 4 days in the lodge. It is beautifully situated on the top of a vulcano with excellent views. Rooms are spacious, well equipped. Our room on first floor, which was nice - also with a balcony. The excursions were excellent due to good planning and nice & knowledgable guides. Good idea with one day on water and one day on land. We saw most the animals on our bucket list for Galapagos in two days, which is definitely not standard.

Pikai lodge is absolutely amazing. The rooms, the staff, the food and the service is a five out of five! Our excursion itinerary was perfect and the naturalist guides on board the yacht with us and land excursion were so knowledgeable, friendly, entertaining and accommodating! We had Jose and Mario. We swam/snorkeled with sea lions and penguins, and got up close with the giant tortoises during our land excursion. Pikai is truly a luxery resort in an absolutely beautiful natural landscape.

We could not have been more comfortable during our stay in such a beautiful spot on earth. This level of service is not something I'm used to. I couldn't stop thinking about all the behind the scenes work to pull this level of service off. They are paying attention to every detail. Norman took note and had herbal tea in our room before night time. Christina (think I have her name correct) had a gift of chocolates for my daughter at the end of our stay. So nice of her. The food was amazing. Dinner time choices could be difficult because the choices were all so good. I enjoyed the paths around the crater and rounding a bend to find a lumbering tortoise chomping grass. Many birds to spot near the water holes the tortoises enjoy. The guides we were with in our small group tours were so knowledgeable and fun. Mario and Xavi I'm talking about you. I was a little concerned we wouldn't get enough ocean, beach time having traveled so far to the islands. They take you on thier yacht the vision and you do get beach and swim time. We were able to see penguins, seals, sharks, birds galore. An amazing spot to visit and the Pikia Lodge makes it luxury for the time you are not seeing pristine nature.

Excited to see as many sea and land animals endemic to the islands as well as tour the islands, we arranged our stay and daily excursions through Pikaia Lodge. Our high expectations were exceeded. Pikaia delivered. Throughout our stay Pikaia Lodge anticipated our every need providing us with luxury accommodations, beautiful views, delicious food, a variety of island activity options and an extremely attentive staff. My favorite thing about my visit was our guide -the man, the myth, the legend; Xavier F. Suárez. Xavi consistently brought extensive island knowledge, passion, and humor to our excursions. His excitement and exuberance made discovering each of the islands’ uniqueness, rareness and charm that much more thrilling. We enjoyed every minute of our Galápagos adventure. Thank you to the Pakaia Lodge staff and Xavier Suárez for a most memorable experience.

Wow! Just wow. You can look at my review - we've stayed in some pretty special hotels. I have to say this one stands shoulder-to-shoulder with any of them. What a fantastic place. Incredibly special. We all felt very fortunate to stay here. The food was AMAZING and the staff were incredible. Thank you to Norman and his team - Angelica, Jose, Cris, Daisy and everyone else! And a special shoutout to Mario - the best guide in the Galapagos!

We spent 4 nights at Pikaia Lodge and we can't wait to return! The hotel itself is beautiful, located in the highlands with a view of the coastline. Architecturally stunning and incredibly comfortable and chic. Beautiful artwork in the common spaces and a very comfortable and luxurious reading lounge where we could also watch the David Attenborough documentary on the Galapagos Islands in the evenings. Subtle nods to Darwin and the history of the islands are scattered throughout the property via the artwork which is definitely worth paying attention to. Food is excellent - modern, sophisticated dinners with choices. A highlight was the "Vision", the yacht which is owned by Pikaia and on which we traveled to other islands during our stay. Beautifully appointed - each of us had a comfortable day cabin in which to change, shower, nap (which we didn't because we didn't want to miss a single thing!). Chef prepared breakfasts and lunches on board which were casual and excellent. Each evening we returned to the hotel exhilarated with the wildlife we had seen and the snorkelling and adventuring. Our guide, Mario, was excellent - knowledgeable and sharp eyed. He spotted all sorts of animals and plants and could tell us everything there is to know. He was flexible about timing and scheduling and could not have been more accommodating. A shout-out to Norman at the hotel who was professional, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the islands too. The incredibly helpful and friendly staff - Angelica, Matteo, Daisy, Heidy, Jose, Giovanni and so many more. My husband wanted to watch a football game one evening and could not stream to his ipad so the front desk staff rigged up a monitor so he could watch it in the lobby. Above and beyond! My one disappointment is that we did not build in an extra day just to spend enjoying the hotel property itself - each day was mostly taken up with outings but the hotel has several biking and hiking trails, a pond area down the hill where giant tortoises roam and a beautiful pool area. So when you do visit Pikaia make sure you take that extra day to immerse and enjoy a very special place.

What an amazing experience we just had at the Pikaia Lodge in the Galapagos. The service from everyone in the staff is just outstanding and is simply the best service we have experienced in a hotel. The property is also very unique with incredible views of the ocean and the mountains. We also loved the food and the excursions in land and at sea (our guide Soto was great) Congratulations to the Picaia team and we hope to come back in the future!

This experience was a dream come true. The location is truly fantastic, and the staff takes care of everything so you can focus on your Galapagos adventures. Special thank you to Anji, Christopher, Jonathan, Mateo, and Daniel to name a few. Oh, and our incredibly knowledgeable (and hilarious) guide Luis! From the moment we arrived at the airport to the dining experiences to the excursions to the beautiful and comfy rooms, you cannot beat Pikaia Lodge. I wish I had six stars to give.
