We stayed for two nights at Eskaleh at the end of our Egypt holiday. We could not have asked for a nicer end to our trip, we loved it! The guesthouse is beautifully furnished in the Nubian style, our room was spacious with a little balcony. We ate our meals here and the food was delicious, real Egyptian home cooking....

The Eco Lodge is a very different type of hotel, and very much has a “bed and breakfast” feel to it with a heavy Nubian home theme. If you are expecting a modern hotel, then look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a friendly, clean, relaxing property at a very good value, then look no farther. The hotel is...

This place is surely unique with Nubian charm and plenty of books to get familiar with Nubian people and Egypt in general, if you have not done it beforehand. I was met by several staff members, who showed me the rooms as it was a random choice for me and I did not book in advance. As it was a...

Typical Nubian style: thick walls, small windows, decorated the Nubian way. A very relaxing place after a day of travel or visits. The owner, wel-known Nubian musician Fakry el Kashef welcomes his guests. Everybody immediately feels at home here: a relax feeling of coming home. Staff is most friendly and helpful. Rooms are charming and clean, equiped with airco. Temperature...

My brother & I stayed here in Jan 2014 at the beginning of our trip. The staff was really nice, even arranging a boat ride in the morning. I've told my brother if we make another trip ( this was my 6th to Egypt)we must stay at least 2 nights here. The rooms were really clean. The bathrooms would pass my...

Much more than a hotel, this place really makes you feel at home. The rooms are charming and clean and there are plenty of areas to relax, have a drink or just gazing at lake Nasser. The owner is an extremely friendly and interesting man. Food was wonderful and plentiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed a night at Eskaleh and it was excellent (and well worth doing to fit in the surprisingly good sound and light show that evening at the Abu Simbel temples). It's a 5-bedroom lodge built in traditional Nubian style located on an idyllically peaceful organic farm. The ensuite rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable and spacious, and equipped with...

A great experience if authentic Nubian culture not serene setting close to Lake Nasser. Very friendly helpful staff and great food. Rooms are in Nubian style of rounded mud brick walls and ceiling. Modern addition of ceiling fan and air conditioner was much appreciated . Fascinating decor of Nubian art and craft. Lovely terraced outdoor eating area.

We spent two nights at Eskaleh, an idyllic break in the middle of a 3 week trip to Egypt. Eskaleh was an oasis of calm, with graceful and professional service from Goma, the maître d', and attentive care from Hasan, the owner's son and manager. The food was excellent, and we enjoyed walking through the farm and into the hassle-free...
