I like it’s cleanliness, calmness and the fact that it is not in the crowded area but still few minutes walking away from it.

Pretty decent breakfast and a simple yet chique rooms.

The staff is friendly but assertive which doesn’t make a problem if your plans and needs are clear, but I haven’t tested their flexibility and I won’t count on it.

A cozy small hotel overlooking the sea. It has a small and very beautiful sitting area on the beach. The rooms are very clean, the upper floor has balconies with an amazing sea view. The price might be considered a bit high comparing with the hotel prices in Dahab. Breakfast is included, which is quite ok but we preferred to have our breakfast somewhere else as a change. The owner and the staff are very friendly. One of the things i loved about the hotel that it is not close to the center area of Dahab which is usually crowded and noisy.
I would definitely go there again.

Clean rooms and excellent breakfast. The place looks like a postcard. We felt in a private paradise. Bachar the bartender is a kind and welcoming guy who will always be happy to help. Highly recommended

Thank you El Primo for the wonderful time in Dahab ! We had a great week at this beautiful hotel in Dahab.
The cosy hotel is just some steps away from the beach, where you can relax having some drinks or tasty food, while you looks at the awesome colours of the sea and the coral reef just in front of you.
The staff is very friendly and happy to help you at any time of day and night. You can feel the passion they put daily in their work. They can also organise for you diving, horse or camel riding and taxi from/to airport, and everything very quickly and easily.
The position of the hotel is perfect: you can walk 10 or 15 min. along the beach to reach the center of Dahab with shops, restaurants, diving centers and so on; at the same time it´s the best place to chill out, km away from mass tourism (e.g. in Sharm-el-Sheikh).
Rooms are very clean and with air conditioning. Food was always fresh made and tasty, breakfast rich and very good (pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs...).
The atmosphere is always familiar and you get immediately the "holiday feeling" in Dahab. Recommended for expert divers as well as for snorkel beginners (Snorkel is a MUST there: a few meters swimming and you can discover an amazing undersea world in front of the hotel). If you have kids with you (it was my case), they also will love it.
We are already looking foward to going there again...

When you enter El Primo, you'll see a Booking.com award at the reception area stating 8.9. That's obviously an impressive score already but I feel, I know, this place actually deserves higher - especially relative to the overall standard I've found in my two weeks travelling throughout Egypt. Its owners are an Eastern European family which is why I've found the standard to be as high. (No offence to friendly local Egyptians). The staff are constantly working hard, always cleaning to maintain the level of the cleanliness that the owners seek. A shout-out to Oleg and Bakar, two friendly members of staff.

Additionally, the decor of the hotel inside and out is calming and the ambience extremely tranquil. The setting/backdrop to the Red Sea is so perfect that you just have to see it for yourselves folks. With all this said, I still haven't got to the pièce de résistance, this being the food. Specifically (and not limited by) the breakfast that is included in the already fantastic price. To add to this something I've not ever seen before from a low-budget hotel, the option to mix up the breakfast menu each morning! I stayed four nights and had a different breakfast each morning! I've included a couple pictures but in a way I wish I hadn't as then you'd get the full surprise like I did so feel free to not look at them! :-)

If you're a fussy sod, it might be worth asking the night before just in case they serve you something you're not going to eat.

The only negative here is that the water is hard here but likely to be specific to the area (not the hotel) but if you're coming here, you're unlikely to be phased by this.

Thank you so much to Val and Uliana. I really enjoyed my stay here and all things considered, this is one of the nicest, affordable places I've ever stayed and that's a few let me tell you.

BTW, I walked down the main Dahab street countless times and I did not locate a single place that looked as enticing as this place.

Val, If I come back to Dahab one day I'll be seeking an even better price! Deal? :-)

I spend a couple of days in El Primo Hotel in Dahab and I’m simply pleased with this little and familiar Hotel. From the rooms you have beautiful view to the sea and I was just sitting on the balcony and relaxing the atmosphere. The room was nice and I got a big bed even as a single person. A plus is that the room was very clean.
The breakfast is made with love and has everything needed. Sometimes they serve very delicious homemade bread.
The area is nice quiet and for food there is a restaurant right next to the Hotel or I just walked 5 minutes to the restaurants or bars. The service of this little Hotel is excellent and the new german management did everything to make my holiday special. I will come back for sure.

El Primo is a real diamond! very layed-back atmosphere, (very clean!!) ocean-view rooms and the best food in town! we didn´t feel like being in a hotel, we felt like staying with friends!
El Primo is located in a more quiet area of Dahab, right at one of the best diving-spots and still in 5min. walking-distance to the lighthouse and the "downtown"-bars.
It´s the perfect place to stay!

Yess its perfect for swimming and snorkeling , plus, a diving/snorkeling site ( eel garden ) is a couple of meters just beside the hotel location, so its great for diving/snorkeling, ask the guys ( bakkar or mohey ) for snorkels and get ur sea boots on, and enjoy 👌
