Visited now for 5th time in last 25 months. All inclusive package. Starting to feel disappointed with the place. Rooms spring tired and dysfunctional. TV doesn’t work. No in room WiFi. Food quality has diminished. Seems hotel only interested in catering for Chinese or Russian guests. Food mostly unappetising and tasteless. Drinks coming in thimble sized cups. Being asked to change up UK coins to notes by some staff in what was obviously a scam to gain real currency for fake coins. Why else would the Egyptians who hassle for everything gladly offer £11 of coins for a £10 notes... And this from a staff member manager who recognised me to be a returning customer whose last visit was 5 weeks before. Not acceptable and will discourage consideration of Elysees for next visit... probably this year, definitely next. Some staff really friendly and look to make stay enjoyable... others can’t be bothered to give the time of day to guests.

Generally the stay was okay, room was spacious, a/c was working, staff was always available, had my ‘No disturb’ sign out for 10 days and I’ve never been disturbed.

I got a seaview room that wasn’t seaview on the 2nd floor, view was blocked by other buildings in the front BUT the noise… my Gosh, the noise from the street and from the restaurant called London Bridge. The sport TV was super load (just under my balcony) and the extreme banging music late at night (even at 1am) was terrible and unacceptable. I had to complain in the restaurant as I couldn’t cope with that loud music when the bed was shaking under me and as a guest I wanted to rest at night. I found it very unrespectful in a touristic area.

Had issue with the temperature of the hot water in the bathroom, had to run it for 5-10 mins and it only was warmish, never been hot enough.
Once I asked the night receptionist for packed breakfast as in the morning my pick up was at 2am to Cairo and I was refused. That was shocking! I was so disappointed in the bus when other people joined from other hotels with breakfast boxes…

Lovely clean hotel. My only problem was been offered hash in the resturant so we never returned. So we eat out every night and the all inclusive bar was a waste of time horrible spirits but it was cheap enough to easy out so we did that every night. We never eat more thanonce at the hotel so i couldnt tell you anymore

The staff were 5star people.

But then the wheels fell off. Initially our room had bad air conditioning. The grab rail in the bath was unusable and the beds very uncomfortable.
No toiletries supplied at all. Thankfully we had a supply.
We agreed an upgrade to the Premium Rooms and things did not improve. No a big difference.
We were directly about the London Bridge Pub that was so noisy we got no sleep till 4am
And the Air Conditioning was poor. So we had to leave the door open for some air.
Yet again we moved rooms to the pool side.
Peace at last. And working air conditioning. Bliss.
We were on an all inclusive package and found the meals lacked variety.
Same thing every meal.
Tea and Coffee available at breakfast only and no kettle in the bedroom.
Beer was included as part of our package.
Available at the pool side. Beach bar and the Dolphin Pub.
Snorkel and flippers we’re rentable at the beach for £300 Egyptian Pounds a day. A bit of a rip off.
Wi Fi was dreadful. They encouraged you to buy an Egyptian Sim Card(sold at the desk) and handed back on departure.(£20.00 Stirling)
Pound Stirling was preferred by most traders including restaurants.
Best place to exchange money is a machine at the airport.

The hotel is nice and at the heart of the city, very close to everywhere you might need. The rooms are nice and clean. we stayed for 2 nights but didn't try the pool or the beach, the restaurant has a great view from the 6th floor and has an interesting variety of food considering it's all-inclusive. I just feel the prices should be a bit lower when considering the overall experience.

Seriously, seriously, the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. It is amazing in everything, the shape of the hotel, the rooms, the food and the drinks. Especially I would like to thank Mr. Bassam Mohamed. Seriously, he is a person of the highest respect and taste, and also the general chef. Seriously, thank you for the best vacation she has ever spent.

I checked into Elysees because rooms were reasonably priced and reviews were decent.

Unfortunately, staff at the hotel are abrasive and incredibly difficult to deal with. They harass customers. Do not expect your reservation to be honoured if you book through a third party, and expect staff to hassle you constantly. I did not feel safe at Elysees, and I went so far as to barricade my door at night.

Please avoid this hotel. There are plenty of good options in Hurghada but Elysees is not one of them. Do not make the same mistake that I did.

You can't expect more than what you pay for. It's budget, we knew it would have some flaws. What bugged me most was the cleanliness - very superficial and it took forever. Maybe if they would hire some extra staff, they could get the work done faster..
We loved the food, the beach and the friendliness of the bartenders and the waiting staff.

Staff were friendly and happy to resolve problems, not of the hotel’s making. The Internet was a bit haphazard to start with, but the provider finally got it working.

Good selection of food, with a dedicated omelet chef.

Having a bridge walkway to access the beach from the hotel saved negotiating the road.
