I have visited Fiji 5 times and always stayed on the main island, Viti Levu, and whilst always very pleasant, this time, in Vanua Levu I experienced the real Fiji. Being welcomed into the Daku family by Captain Aubrey, George and Peggy was fabulous. This is not to forget the quite eccentric hosts JJ and Delia, whose wit and charm...

I have been coming to Daku for the past 5 years now, offering a Yoga Teacher Training immersion. 24 days of Bliss! Daku is small yet big enough to house our group. I love the staff ( now family) the food, the location ( right across the ocean! ) and a nice walk to town. Its such a treat in...

An incredible holiday for my dad and I. The staff at Daku Resort made us feel like we were family, they were so warm and welcoming. The self contained apartment was perfect for us, we had our own plunge pool, AMAZING views and we could cook meals ourselves in the fully equipped kitchen. The food cooked by chef Anna however,...

As a returning guest over many years I enjoy the peace and serenity of Daku. It's about value, it's about nice people, it's about finding somewhere to wind down with quaint places to visit with wonderfully friendly smiley people. Dining at the long table ensures you meet other interesting people who share their delights and discoveries. Highly recommended

Fantastic hospitality, the Fijian staff are professional, friendly, helpful and took great care of us. We found the mattresses were quite uncomfortable but otherwise the accommodation was fine. The food was delicious, tasty and using local produce.

This was my 2nd trip to Daku Resort ,back among the smiles and greetings from all This place is comfy without the hype and high prices, meals are healthy and drinks are set at reasonable price not inflated like some resorts. The surrounds are like living in a garden of colour with slender palms and banana trees as backdrops and...

My wife and I had the pleasure of bumping into JJ and his wife at a local restaurant and they were so nice to let us use their kayaks for the day and invited us to dinner on Saturday. They run a very friendly and lovely place at Daku and the dinner was delicious. I highly recommend the Daku resort.

Our main interest in Fiji was snorkeling. In the evening, the resort scheduled expert presenters to tell us about the reef animals and local customs. The slide presentations were high quality and the presenters really knew their subject. The snorkeling sites were spectacular, and the guides were in the water with us pointing-out interesting forms of sea life. Although the weather...
