We had what was described as a suite, 2 rooms, 1 bathroom with fans and AC. There was also a lovely balcony. The building is nicely converted and retains a lot of character. The service was good and the staff helpful and friendly. I was told the food was excellent but we found it was not the high standard we...

I just have returned on 15 april 2007 from a wonderful journey in India, form North to South. In Kerala, Fort Cochin, I stood at Hotel Fort Heritage, an excellent place for an unforgettable vacation. A very clean, peaceful place, with a very helpful and kind staff. All the rooms have windows to a lovely inner garden, where I also...

This place is pathetic. A beautiful old building, great location, and staff who just couldn't care less. We were given a dark room off the restaurant. At least we couldn't hear the restaurant noise, the AC units outside our window ensured we couldn't hear each other. Breakfast? We waited 40minutes for some very stale cornflakes, which they then had the...

This was a fine hotel. Our room, Number 10, upstairs, was big, with a large, working bathroom - and it was cleaned wonderfully every morning. The man on the desk is efficient, the laundry is well done, the garden green and quiet We tried breakfast there once - inefficient and slow and not good, so ate out at the Kashi...

This is a charming hotel in the Old Fort area of Cochin. We enjoyed our stay here as part of a Kerala tour in December 2006. The room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was dated but ok, and the staff were attentive though not much English was spoken. However the location is excellent and it was great to be...

We stayed here on two separate nights during a touring holiday. The rooms we and our friends had were spacious and had sitting rooms attached. The food was not brilliant, but the staff were very willing. In fact you get used to three people doing the work of one and not synchronising it after a long holiday in India. It becomes rather...

A converted 17th century Dutch mansion, the Fort Heritage Hotel is a quiet little oasis in a terrific location. The room are enormous and spotlessly clean, service is terrific, and the location is minutes from fabulous sunsets through the Chinese Fishing nets. 4-star hotel at 3-star prices!

We just stayed at the Fort Heritage a few weeks ago for 2 nights. we thought it was a lovely hotel -- with air conditioning that worked!! I was concerned with the review from the traveller who had money stolen so if we left anything of value in the room( such as passports), we left it in a locked suitcase(...

If I should say only one thing about this hotel, it's PRETENDING. In a very nice setting, old mansion, it's a shame that the service, the reception and the food are absolutely terrible. Very poor value for money.

The Fort Heriatge is a charming and spotless small hotel. This hotel is a historic building dating from the 17th century and is exquisitely decorated in period Dutch style furnitue. We loved the detail and care with which the hotel has been decorated--so different from chain hotels! The rooms are large and stunning. All have ceiling fans and airconditioning. We...
