Spice Village is an eco resort in the hills(thekkady) near the Periyar wildlife sanctuary. A cluster of tribal style huts set in a beautiful spice garden is a great escape for most tourists from the heat of the plains, and also a great place for some adventure activities. We have a comfortable pool, an ayurvedic spa, we organise treks into the forest, bamboo rafting and many more. A walk through the property itself is a great way to explore many aspects of nature and the green initiatives undertaken at this eco resort.

Food is high quality and rooms are fabulous. The Eco details are delightful. We loved it here. Loads of monkeys and birds around. Good hotel shops and village easily walkable. Great nights sleep. Highly recommended!

Wonderful hotel on a large site and close to many attractions. The hotel takes it's name, of course, from the many spice trees and shrubs planted in the large grounds. There is also an organic vegetable farm. Accommodation is in spacious thatched villas with outside balcony and

We stayed in 3 of the CGH eco friendly hotels and this was my favorite. We stayed 2 nights and wished we had stayed one more to just have had the time to hang out. We enjoyed the both restaurants and the staff was most accommodating. My only suggestion is that they give a

Reception is a large thatched roof building. The restaurant is similar, and each of the bungalows match in smaller size......this is your accommodation. Separate, individual bungalows are spread through a well tended landscape that’s as natural as it can be. There is a quiet and

We came from Madurai ie from the east by bus. I am sure there are buses from Kochi/Aleppey but I do not know them. I saw / was bitten by no mosquitos but my wife had a small freakish encounter with a tiny hairy caterpillar that gave her a nasty rash for a few days!
