The place is in the middle of the fort and the owners are extremely welcoming, the place is clean and neat, so what else can you. When you are there, make sure to book a camel safari with Johnny, who is one of the greatest guys we have met in India so far.

I was amazed by the kindness of the staff: Johnny picked me up from the bus and I immediately felt like coming home. Everything was well arranged and I had nothing at all to worry about at all times! I spent 5 days in the desert doing the non-touristic camel safari with guide Matar. Like Johnny, Matar is a super...

Hotel Deep Mahal... It's a beautiful hotel with amazing rooms! The restaurant is compare to other places expensive! Nevertheless our stay couldn't have been better when there wouldn't be the Manager little Johny! He scamed us with the safari tour. We confirmed a few days before with our special and recommended camel man a tour by phone. As we arrived...

By far the worst hospitality of any place I stayed in India. Negotiated a price with the owner for a few nights in a beautiful room, only to have him open the door and walk in a day later to show the room to some other people with the hopes of getting a higher price from them. Seedy, poorly mannered...

My last review was either removed or it didn't go through. Anyway ill keep it short, sweet and to the point. The hotel was very nice, within the fort walls and our room was the best in the hotel, spacious and built into a temple. Jonny on the other hand is a thief and a liar. Avoid this man at...

We were met by "Little Johnny" his name should be Pinocchio for all the lies he told. He took us for a short trip around Jaisalmer and part of the trip was a visit to a silver jeweller. I should have know better but was so taken in by a ring for my husband I purchased it. When we got...

I only stayed one night in the hotel but my stay was very memorable. The rooms are very beautiful and traditional. You literally feel like inside an old castle. The building and furniture are some hundred years old and still in their original state. The hotel has a roof top restaurant with a good view and the staff is very...

Staying at Deep Mahal for the second time in several years was a particularly pleasant experience seeing the same staff as my previous visit. In the Jaisalmer hospitality industry (and most of India for that matter), boys occupying housekeeping and restaurant positions tend to change location year to year but I was especially pleased to see Johnny still running the...
