Everything about The deep mahal is incredible. It makes you feel like you are at home.. Everyone who spoke with us was helpful and friendly. The rooms are... More

By far the worst hospitality of any place I stayed in India. Negotiated a price with the owner for a few nights in a beautiful room, only to have him open the door and walk in a day later to show the room to some other people with the hopes of getting a higher price from them. Seedy, poorly mannered... More

Deep mahak was a little piece of heaven in jaisalmer ! From the time you check in to check out, the staff will go out of their way to take care of you. Words defeat me to express how much of a good time I had at jaisalmer. Combination of exceptional customer service and fantastic camel safari will truly let... More

My last review was either removed or it didn't go through. Anyway ill keep it short, sweet and to the point. The hotel was very nice, within the fort walls and our room was the best in the hotel, spacious and built into a temple. Jonny on the other hand is a thief and a liar. Avoid this man at... More

We were met by "Little Johnny" his name should be Pinocchio for all the lies he told. He took us for a short trip around Jaisalmer and part of the trip was a visit to a silver jeweller. I should have know better but was so taken in by a ring for my husband I purchased it. When we got... More

I only stayed one night in the hotel but my stay was very memorable. The rooms are very beautiful and traditional. You literally feel like inside an old castle. The building and furniture are some hundred years old and still in their original state. The hotel has a roof top restaurant with a good view and the staff is very... More

Staying at Deep Mahal for the second time in several years was a particularly pleasant experience seeing the same staff as my previous visit. In the Jaisalmer hospitality industry (and most of India for that matter), boys occupying housekeeping and restaurant positions tend to change location year to year but I was especially pleased to see Johnny still running the... Great stay in the middle of the fort of jaisalmer. The staff (johnny, gopi, fatan) will do anything to make your stay the best experience you can have. The camel safari with Matar is expensive, but i doubt you will find anything similar in jaisalmer: he is the greatest host you can find in the desert.

This hotel is the best in Jaisalmer, don't stop at the expensive rooms of the luxurious hotels, don't stop to the soulless guesthouses for american tourists, go to Deep Mahal and ask for Little Jonnhy, one of the best meeting I had in India for the six months I spent there. The rooms are beautiful and authentics, and clean, the... More
