Had been to this place for family vacation in December'16. A large property built in a fort, on a height, away from city limits, with scenic views, spacious rooms, nice hospitality and vintage cars (for car lovers). While the breakfast spread is satisfactory, the restaurant has limited vegetarian options (for dinner). The shower area is risky, since for showering there...

Fatehgarh is undoubtedly one of the best property of Udaipur. You feel Royalty once inside the hotel. We had lunch in the restaurant. View from the restaurant is awesome. It's a wonderful experience overall.

The upside was the view. It is a heritage hotel so it had all the obligatory marble. The rooms were fair, the mattress a futon. Eating out on the patio was nice because of the views. The staff was helpful. We had to be away for the day because there was a wedding that day. The decorations were beautiful. Fortunately,...

The view was absolutely amazing and cannot be beat at all. Breakfast service was absolutely pathetic though. Upon ordering tea only received it 30 minutes later. This didn't just happen once, it happened every day over the course of my stay. The rooms are nothing to write home about and I understand that its meant to look old but it...

Hotel property is ok, with limited facilities. but the management, staff and other people are hopeless. It was a complete cheating on their part rather loot (to e more precise). We went their for Vacation along with new year eve celebration. First the gala dinner was not complimentary rather compulsory, so weather u take it or not u have to...

Greetings!! Thank you for your feedback! Mohit G we are sorry that you didn't enjoy the new year's eve celebration. We have been organising this event for last 9 years and have never included complimentary drinks as part of the gala dinner. This year we had 200 + guests with us and everyone enjoyed as they left positive comments. Somehow...

A lovely hotel with a sunning view of the surrounding countryside. It should be noted however, that there are a lot of steps to climb to get from the drop off point to the reception, so this may not be suitable to all.

Greetings!! Thank you for your comments!! Yes there are a lot of steps to climb but for people who are not able to walk up the stairs we do get the car up to the back gate which leads you straight to the rooms. Do please inform at the security gate if anybody has got issue with walking and this...

Built in 2008, the Fateh Garh sits on a hill and is designed to replicate a large palace with abundant marble, terraces and two pools (unheated when we visited in December). It seems more suited to host weddings and large groups rather than travelers seeking respite. We stayed two nights and enjoyed a spacious room on the back side of...

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is a beautiful property on a hill so you get a view of the city and while you're in the city you can see the hotel from afar. Service at the hotel was good. Service at the restaurant was mostly good. The food at the restaurant was surprisingly nice. Tried their chicken...

My parents visited and stayed at Fateh Garh from 15th till 18th December 2016. I am writing this review on their behalf. According to them the property is a luxury in itself ...The staff was very warm and courteous . The only complaint they have is regarding the expensive restaurant. The rates of each item is too much and the...

Hotel is a little out of Udaipur town (15 mins from the city), on a small hill. The place has got amazing views and the food and services are phenomenal. Has the full feel of an old heritage hotel/ fort. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good place if you want to just relax away from the hustle and bustle....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fateh Garh, a Heritage Renaissance Resort - Sanctuary, perched on the edge of Udaipur city in the Aravalli ranges, with 360° commanding views, welcomes guests with style & traditional fanfare. Fateh Garh, a 50 room property offers travelers a spacious, peaceful and quiet refuge from the noisy and crowded urban India. Conde Nast Hot List 2009:- "Until now the best places to stay in Udaipur have been the princely piles on Lake Pichola's shores or its fairy-tale island palace. Fateh Garh offers something different: "Heritage Renaissance" style. Perched on a hilltop 20 minutes outside the city, this newly constructed 51-room hotel incorporates local stone and antique architectural elements culled from abandoned historic buildings. A confection of bulbous domes, sugar-white pillars, crenellations, and intricate jali screens, it escapes the kitschy through its graceful proportions and airy reception areas, courtyard, and verandas—all of which are graced with antiques and delicate frescoes inspired by the style of Rajput miniatures. Lie by the infinity pool, listening to the sound of splashing fountains mingling with live classical shehnai music. The hotel kitchen does best with local Mewari dishes, which are a welcome change from standard Indian hotel fare". ... more   less
