From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcomel. Mango Tree Villas is a small complex of 3 separate villas. We stayed in the one bedroom Gecko villa which was ideal for us. It was a secluded garden haven with private pool and open lounge/kitchen. If you are looking for shopping or nightlife then this is NOT for...

Dear Lynne. Thank you very much for your kind words and explaining so well the experience in Mango Tree. As you said, this is a place for those who are looking the Balinese experience, we are in a local and traditional area, no shopping or nightlife around here, which means our customers come to relax and enjoy the quiet and...

The owner and manager are very nice people, no question about that but the property itself needs an overhaul. Stayed in Gecko Villa Room - musty and mildew smell, dusty. The bed canopy is so dirty and dusty. You can literally see dead insects, dirts on top of the canopy while you are lying on the bed. Bathroom - so...

Stayed in the Mango Tree Villa and must say it was perfect, a sanctuary of privacy just a 5 minute walk from the beach. Very warm welcome and owners were very accommodating. Having a private pool was wonderful, as was having breakfast brought to our porch each morning. Would love to be able to go back soon

We stayed 3 nights here when we first arrived in Bali, the villa is very nice and give you this private and secluded feeling - very well situated and scooters available to go around, if you are not afraid to drive - we definitely recommend you the scooters. We received good tips for the rest of our trip - lovely...

Vehicular entry to the facility is extremely difficult with only a few centimeters clearance at some places in the zig-zag lane entry. It is not close to the beach. The room had an unpleasant smell and there was no exhaust fan in the toilet. There were animals (rats?) making loud noises in the ceiling at night. We were not offered...

Dear Bob. Thank you for your comments on Mango Tree Villas. We are sorry to hear that our place has not fulfilled your expectations. It is correct, that the access to our villas is through a small gang, as we are in the middle of Jimbaran village and not a big resort with a big entrance. In Bali, this is...

This is one of the best villas I have stayed in from the cold water in the large pool (very welcomed at that time of the year) to enjoying the playful squirrels in the trees, to the black out curtains in our large air conditioned bedroom (and very comfy bed) everything was a total joy. We enjoyed coming back here...

First time traveller it was a bit daunting at first driving through Jimbaran, then we arrived at a heavenly oasis tucked away in the middle of the busy city, the staff and owner very helpful especially for first time travellers made us feel at home. We owe a big thanks to Andrea for her assistance.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mango Tree Villas, situated in the heart of Jimbaran village, capture the very essence of the Balinese lifestyle with a contemporary elegance accent. The one and two bedroom villas, shaded under old mango trees, are an ideal choice for travellers with a sense of adventure, a passion for authentic surroundings and a thirst for new experiences. The villas are a short walk to Jimbaran market and temple, a five minute stroll to the famous Jimbaran beach and 10 minute drive from the airport or to the shopping and entertainment areas of Kuta and Seminyak. The formal Balinese architecture makes use of local materials, such as white Palimanan stone, teak wood, and Paras river stone, together with wooden iron wooden shingle roofs. Location: Jimbaran village is located on the southern tip of the island of Bali on the slopes of Bukit Peninsula. The white sandy beaches of Jimbaran bay are only 15-minute drive from the famous Uluwatu temple, Nusa Dua and Kuta Beach. Jimbaran is a great fishing village with stunning white-sand beach that is considered to be one of the Bali’s most beautiful beaches. The village is admired with families for its gentle tides, dramatic sunsets, brightly painted fishing boats and numerous famous beachfront seafood restaurants. ... more   less
