Balinese people always ask you from where you come from and where you are going. It was quite fun that nobody knew the little village where Villa Manuk is situated. We regretted that we had only booked for 2 nights. We had a very pleasant hike with Mede to the Sekumpul Waterfalls and a very relaxing balinese massage. Would have... More

This place is definitely away from it all. If you are looking to relax and explore the countryside, it's great. The rooms are very nice and natural, with no ac but cool at night and with gorgeous views, especially from the upstairs room. The pool is nice and refreshing. The food and massages were very nice and reasonably priced. There... More

We were a bit disappointed with Manuk. The settings were beautiful and did not disappoint. However we cut short our two night booking because of a few things. Firstly, the grounds are small and cramped, as there was a group of five of us there was not room by the pool to relax together. The pool, we would confidently describe... More

The garden is pleasantly designed and very well maintained. The pool is too small for adults and a bit on the musty side but I saw children splashing around without any inhibition. The food is decent, although nothing special. Indonesian staples prepared by amateur cooks, such as fried rice and fried noodles. Breakfast is above average—eggs your way, nice toast,... More

After Seminyak, Ubud and Lovina. Villa manuk was highlight of our Bali Tour. It couldn't get better than this. It was an adventure getting there thanks to Google maps led us through the tiniest roads. There were signs to the hotel which we realized on our way back thanks to google maps dependency ;).. We stayed here one night and... More

Stayed overnight at Villa Manuk recently and was blown away with this hidden gem. Off the beaten track in North Bali (although easy to find thanks to clever signposting) Villa Manuk is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by rice fields and everything else that goes with village life. It really does give you an opportunity to see the real... More

We only had one night to stay here unfortunately, it was a fantastic experience. We were treated like royalty. The setting is truly wonderful, amazing views and the local villagers were friendly and welcoming. The villa itself was very comfortable, the food was delicious and I look forward very much to another occasion when I can spend some more time... More

We desperately wanted to visit the real Bali. Having seen other excellent reviews but being a little concerned about isolation of the property we took the risk.We had to cancel, a serious accident hospitalized me for two months, I was not able to fly for another ten months. Bette, the owner offered to refund all deposit monies and a number... More

If you love Bali. If you detest mass tourism in Bali. If you want to experience an authentic village in the rain forest, "far from the maddening crowds". And above all, if you like remote, small, personal, comfortable bordering on luxurious, whether your budget is crazy huge or woefully small, the Villa Manuk is still for you. There are only... More
