From the moment we arrived,we greeted by the lady that helped us checking in to the room,we surprised that the rooms are very close to the main street We booked the biggest room available (again surprised that is the first room from entrance gate) inside the room is very spacious with a living room and fully eqipped kitchen set - WOW! Everything inside the room were worked - TV / Fridge / Lamps and WiFi is also works great We spent our afternoon swimming in the pool - not so big but really nice! the ambience are ok because it's literally beside a main street so you will hear traffic passing by - and often really loud! As the room is very close to the street,at night when we sleeping sometimes we surprised by the loud motorcycle passing by - not so good sleep.

As we arrived there was no one waiting for us and we didn’t know what to do. So we called the number we had but nobody answered. By chance we saw a little paper hanging on one of the bungalows‘ doors with my name on it. The door was open and the key was inside. So when you arrive, watch out for papers on the doors :) The rooms are clean, as well as the pool and the outside bath, which is by the way really cool. To ubud town you need around 15 walking minutes which is okay but on the way it‘s partly very steep and after a while you get tired walking this way over and over again.

Stayed two nights here while we were in Ubud. The room had pretty decorations and the paint and sheet gave out tranquil and fresh vibes. The room has both AC and fan. I love places that do that! We mostly used the fan since it was quite cold at night and we needed to dry some clothes. Though the villa provided clothesline but the it was not placed in a spot that received good sunlight. The keepers changed the bottles and tidied the room daily. I am not really fond of open bathroom since it can be quite scary at night 🤣 but they manage the place quite well and it was really clean. The villa does not have a big parking space and it is located outside the gate. We rented a scooter and it was parked there every night. Thankfully, it was safe. Had a pleasant stay here!

Gekkos is a nice place to stay while discovering Ubud and the beautiful area around Ubud. Although its a little bit loud as it is near by the a street where a lot of cars and scooters drive... But still not too loud, just if you leave your door open.

Stayed in ubud for a night for my trekking trip. The villa was a simple villa with 5 / 6 rooms available with no lobby. Though it was a relatively small villa, it was comfortable and nice enough. Bedroom cleanliness is good and they have open-concept bathroom. Location is really good and convinient - a good massage place opposite and a cosy cafe. 15 mins to Ubud central with car / motor. They only have a slot for 1 car and couple of motorbikes in their car park. Stay here if you're looking for a simple place to stay and a value for money. If you're into mid-high resort stay and used to Seminyak boutique hotel, i think you will find this villa too simple.

Location: Away and uphill of the main street. Just opposite Gekkos there are several food and coffee options that are pretty good and friendly. Facilities/Service: There are about 7 rooms in this place and is a no-frills establishment. E.g. There is no reception, instead they put a slip of paper with your name by the door of the room and you look for it when you arrive. If you need some assistance,there is a phone number to give the manager a call and he will then send someone to come over (usually within 15min). In terms of security, there is a main entrance door that will be locked after certain hours in the evening but every room will be given a set of keys to that. In room there are bath towels but no toiletries or hairdryer ; there is a mini fridge but no mini bar ; there is an air conditioner and a ceiling fan but no television. Bathroom is open-air so expect some bugs but not a big issue if you keep the door closed most of the time. The caretakers also come to tidy up the rooms every noon. Outside there is a small shared swimming pool but no lounge chairs or pool towels. Overall: Depending on your preferences, this place suits well if you are looking for a cosy villa without the frills. Othewise there are also many other establishments just down the road that you can pay slightly more for.…

We stayed in Gekkos for 2 nights and we availed one of the rooms by the poolside. It was lovely! Although they don’t have a lobby, the owner and caretaker were friendly and approachable. The only issue was the lack of water during our last day; we had to leave the place at around 4 in the morning so we need to take a shower but we were left with no choice to use the bottled water to freshen up.

There are only six rooms and four of them (including mine) with a direct view of the pool and the serene greeneries surrounding it. Two other rooms probably have a slight view of the pool but I'm sure it's still good! The caretakers are nice and helpful. The room and its amenities are generally clean but I would like a fresher pillow and bed covers. I like that the location isn't on a busy main road but it wasn't quite too because I can hear motorbikes honkings. There are quite a number of cafes and warungs around it, so you wouldn't have to go down to central Ubud for food or even late night drinks and entertainment. If you have to go to central Ubud, it's a nice walk with a little bit of hike of about 15 minutes

First time i’m a bit not sure about this place but my sister kept telling me that i’ll like it..she was wrong because i LOVE this place.. Even on rainy days, the place really clean. very friendly and helpfull staff.. And the pool is super clean..makes me, my sister, and my friend want to build a house like this place..
