Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed a couple of nights at this hotel. Location is a 10 minute walk down a laneway off the main street. Request a room on the first floor as it is built on a slope and we were on the top floor (3rd) so had to climb a lot of steps. Room was clean and very spacious with traditional Balinese timber furniture. Beautiful infinity pool in very peaceful surrounds. At the time we went (early June) we had to order breakfast from a menu the day before and unfortunately for us they only served Bali coffee.

Awesome value - such a lovely family business. The room was gorgeous with beautiful views and the staff were amazing and happy to go above and beyond. The pool area was beautiful, the gardens were stunning too. Included a decent breakfast (I opted for Balinese options as recommended by other guests), a sampling of complimentary mini-bar drinks and did I mention the 5-star service? They were amazing! Would definitely recommend Alamdini for luxury on a budget <3 Beware Abron the dog may bark but he doesn't bite.

We rocked up in Ubud at the last minute weekend holiday and was graciously accommodated by the staff to get the last available room ready. For the next few days we were impressed by the great service and genuine smiles. Special thanks and mention to Agus who tended to our needs

The surrounding areas in this resort are beautiful. The room however was mouldy and had so many air fresheners it gave me a headache. When we removed them the real mouldy smell was revealed. Very unpleasant.

The mould was mainly in the bathroom but also on the walls of the room as well. There was always a puddle of water around the toilet and the wall near the toilet was the most smelly and mouldy part of the bathroom.

The towels smelled like mildew and mould (even new towels from room service) so we suspect that the whole place is mouldy from the humidity here. The towels are probably kept in a mouldy cupboard. Not pleasant to use and I smelled like the towels after use. We resorted to air drying before putting clothes on.

The restaurant is being renovated (so lots of banging noise during the day) and they used another restaurant close by to do the breakfast. But it wasn't great. The juice and fruit are nice, the use safe ice. The eggs and toast are pretty bad, but if you get Indonesian breakfast like nasi goreng, that is good.

The pool area was gorgeous. Loved it. The air conditioning is good, free WiFi is good quality.

This place is an absolute gem. It is very appropriate for relaxing and has many restaurants and cafes nearby. The rooms are very spacious and probably bigger than most in Ubud. Scooters for rent are available at a distance of 10 meters from the resort.
At the time we stayed at this resort, the restaurant was non-functional. They only served breakfast. But like I mentioned above, cafes and restaurants are available nearby. There are two pools - one bigger and one smaller one.

My suggestion would be to avoid this hotel at all costs. The room we were given smelt so badly of damp and mould it was unbearable. There was also obvious signs of damp/water damage all over the walls. The bathroom was absolutely filthy. The doors didn’t shut properly so the were so many bugs/ lizards in the room. The pool area was so rundown and dirty. It looked like the pool hadn’t been cleaned in months - you couldn’t see the bottom on the pool. The staff didn’t seem to care and didn’t give us any information around where the pool was, where breakfast was served etc. We stayed for approx 20 minutes before asking for a refund and leaving. Nothing like the photos online.

I had a nice stay at Alamdini! The staff were very welcoming and helpful, helping with questions about the local area or arranging private tours. The location is great - close to many restaurants and spas. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff team felt like friends by the time I left!

There was some work being done on the hotel grounds at the time which occassionally was noisy, but hopefully that will be completed soon.

This place was incredible. We couldn’t believe how nice it was on arrival! Best service I’ve ever received anywhere. The pool was amazing and breakfast good too. We opted to have Wayan take us on a tour of Ubud which is a must do! And we booked to go on a rafting experience with him the day after. Would 100% Recommend booking your activities and taxis with him. Hopefully we will return soon 🙂

The resort is also only a short walk into the centre and the monkey forest. But it’s also very nice and quiet!

Stayed spontaneous for 3 nights, really kind staff, payed a good price for the suite in 3rd floor with a magic view from our bath. Delicious breakfast to choose, a bar/restaurant street nearby, directly in front of the door, cozy pool area. We strongly recommend Alamdini Resort!
