Do not be misled, this place is not a sanctuary and elephants are treated like circus animals. How they have any good reviews are beyond me the way the elephants are treated. Absolutely no freedom when they aren’t being used for their ‘tricks’ as the are tied up with chains.

I read so many reviews about this place before I came, some negative and some positive! Being a huge animal lover I was very sceptical however I’m so glad I went! What a special way to end our holiday and honeymoon! We paid extra to stay in the park view room and well worth the

What a wonderful caring park for the rescued elephants. I was a little I sure at first however after seeing for myself and chatting to the keepers you realise there is a lot of care and attention in this particular elephant park. It’s a rescue centre, and it’s clear they’re all

These elephants live better than some people their mahouts are their slaves and they love all the attention and love poured on them. We got to know Nafor and Daisy and they recognised us after a couple of days too. The myth that these beautiful pets could possibly be

Amazing place. None of the elephants are tied or tethered except the bull for safety reasons, even then only 1 tie on the leg. You can tell the trainers love their animals. Wonderful to see that all these rescued elephants are doing well. Able to buy food for them and feed them

Hi Sarah, Thanks for writing in! I'm not sure exactly how much it would cost to take a taxi direct to our lodge, as prices have fluctuated coming from the airport, however traveling that distance usually would be more expensive than other alternatives available. I would recommend either organising your transport with GRAB (similar to UBER), a freelance driver, or directly through us (our price is about £38 or 690,000 IDR). I hope this helps, and looking forward to seeing you soon! Best regards, Management

Hi Happiness, Thanks for your question. Yes, all guests staying at our lodge have full access to the gym facilities. Our Paddy View Rooms are still well within the park and the paths are well lit. Hope to see you soon! Best regards, Management

Put operation jumbo into YouTube and you can see a trailer for the film of how Nigel Mason rescued them from Sumatra and bought them to Bali. I had a night at the park last month and like you I was worried before I went and read and watched everything I could. These elephant would have died if they had not been taken to Bali, they all seem healthy (I visited with a wildlife vet) happy and very much loved. Yes they are chained at times, they do NOT use bullhooks, but the do have a little metal thing that the mahouts have in their hands to lightly tap the elephant with (it’s not sharp, I asked to see one and hit it quite hard against my leg, it didn’t hurt) Yes, in an ideal world the elephants would be free in the jungle, but unfortunately we don’t live in an ideal world, these elephants have the best possible life.

Are tickets for elephant ride included in the room price? I thought that's what I paid for in 2016?
Hi Jennifer, Thanks for your question! At our lodge we now flexibly offer a range of room packages that gives our guests the choice on which inclusions that they would like to have during their stay with us. I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoyed your stay with us on your previous visit. Best regards, Management
