Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent three nights and loved every minute! The family is so nice and accommodating. Madè makes a delicious breakfast every day with fruit, omelette, and our favorite homemade Balinese pancakes with green Banda plant coloring that he pounds himself every morning! Truly spectacular. We will be back!

Incredible Bali Moon Guest House Hospitality and respect for all guests. I give it the highest rating because of the beautiful Balinese-style buildings, beautiful rooms and amazing views of the rice fields and volcanoes. The location is very convenient, there is everything you need nearby - a pharmacy, a supermarket, a bar with live music, a spa, an ATM and restaurants. In a minute you can be on the main street and just as quickly hide in silence back. From the balcony of the room you can see all the volcanoes in clear weather. The family of owners and managers are very friendly and would love to adopt me and my family. They became our family. thank them for this. It's rare to find such nice and kind people. see you Bali!

We can’t say enough good things about Bali Moon. Wayan and Made are such incredible hosts. Their home is traditional Balinese with stunning carvings and decoration. Our four poster bed was so comfortable and looked out onto the rice paddies. It’s very easy to walk to the town, just a few minutes away. Every morning we would enjoy a home cooked breakfast and chat to the family. If you want to stay in an authentic home stay with incredibly kind owners and stunning, spacious rooms then come here!!

We stayed here for the second time and we like it a lot. This family-run place in the middle of a ricefield, it is really calm, but stil close to the city center (about 5 min walk to the market). We chose for a room with a fan instead of an airco, so we ended up in a room at the top, with a balcony up front to look out on the ricefield behind the building. While the airco rooms are completely sealed off, the fan room was with a traditional rooftop, this means the air can circle through the room. As far as moscitos go, we didn't have a problem and we also had a huge bed with a moscito net around it. The owners Made and Wayan are really helpful when it comes to organising trips, we ended up booking a driver thorugh them for two days, who was really great. We even took cooking classes with them which were so much fun. We really got more than we payed for. We love the family atmosphere in this beautiful place. If you happen to stay there, ask for the green pancakes for breakfast, they are amazing!

Nice compound near rice paddies. Decorated simply in Balinese style. Good breakfast (one of the best omelette I've ever had). Away from the noise but not far from bars and restaurants. Just need a some adjustments to make it better. Suggest to take upper floor. Excellent value for money.

We had a wonderful time at Bali Moon. The owners are really kind and the breakfast is yummy. It feels like sleeping in a temple in the middle of ricefields. It‘s a place for place to relax. We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend it!

We stayed here for 3 nights, Made and Wayan were so accommodating to our needs. The views were pretty impressive on a clear day you could see Mount Batur! Our room had a little terrace with lovely wooden furniture perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner and just sitting in peace overlooking rice fields away from the hustle and bustle of ubud. The walk to town takes just a couple of minutes, and there is some sweet little bars and restaurants on the side street back to the guest house. The accommodation is budget so don’t expect the world, but what you do get certainly exceeds expectations :) 👍

This guest house in traditional Balinese style is run by Made and Wayan; a lovely and very helpful couple. It is about 1 minutes walk from a side street where you can experience good bars, cafes and restaurants. It's also no more than 5 minutes walk from the town centre. However, the place is quiet, peaceful and has a nice outlook on to some rice fields. A very breakfast of fruit and omellette and either tea / coffee is included in the price. Highly recommended.

I have nothing to complain at all. We arrived quite late at night to Denpasar and the owners arranged a transport for us and stayed awake to show us the room. First night we got a room without ac bud next morning asked to change it and it was no problem at all for them! They were really nice to us and very welcoming. We decided to stay one more night and again, no problem at all. The room was nice and clean with great balcony and view to rice fields and volcano. The garden was like a garden of piece. The location is great, walking distance to city centre but still very quiet. Definitely recommend!

I read the review of the woman that gave it 1 star and told stories about being bullied...it is REALLY hard to believe as my partner and I have been staying at Bali Moon already two times each time for longer than three weeks. The hosting couple - Made and Wayan - are both teachers in local schools and are very loved by their students, their guests and their community at large. I also read the review of a man not liking Made or finding him strange...I can only tell you that if you become familiar with him he is the sweetest and most generous person. The breakfasts are excellent and the location is very convenient as you can walk to the center without the need of a scooter. Keep in mind though that - because of narrow roads access - you cannot get to the house by car and you will have to walk for 5 mins with your luggage or hire a moto-taxi to take you there.
