From the minute I arrived I was made to feel welcome! The room was clean and tidy, bathroom nice and aircon and fan worked a dream! Breakfast was served in my room and Putu was a gracious host always willing to help and make the stay more comfortable. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back!

Stayed here for 4D3N in the smallest room (it has 3 rooms, 2 on the first floor and the largest on the top floor, Putu and her family live on the ground floor). Putu is an Airbnb Superhost and this title does not come easily. Just go and read the reviews on Airbnb why it is a true 5 star...

We stayed 6 nights at this lovely place. Ubud was our first stay in Bali and Putu made these days just perfect. Beginning with the airport pick-up she arranged for us she helped us with getting a sim-card, arranged day tours and transport and all this for a very resonable price. Every morning she made us a wonderful breakfast with...

We stayed here two nights and there was nothing to complain. I would stay here again without any doubt. Bad luck we had with the transfer to the Gili Islands that we took from the guest house. But it was the fault of the travel agency not from the guest house. I hope they will change their travel agency they...

My friend and I have just returned from a week's stay at Jawi House in Ubud. I booked our stay a few months ago via Airbnb - right from the word go, Putu was very attentive at responding to any queries that we had. We were very much looking forward to staying with her and we weren't disappointed. The house...

Great stay in Ubud! Putu was a perfect host. She is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and cosy. Towels and sheets were fresh and clean. Rooms were cleaned every day. Bathroom is clean and tidy. Great balcony where you can eat breakfast served by Putu. Every morning we were woke up by sunshine and singing birds. Breakfasts are...

We spent four nights here and really enjoyed our stay. The room is simple but tastefully decorated. There’s a bench big enough to put your luggage on, the bed is very comfy, and there’s a water dispenser and a safe in the room. The ensuite is lovely and has hot water and a bath tub. The best feature though was...

I missed writing a review earlier on this little gem as have just returned from quite a few weeks of travel. This lovely homestay was just perfect. The owner - Putu - was delightful. Very helpful, kind and full of information. She bought us a treat of the local delicacy - suckling pig - on our last day there to...

Putu and her wonderful family made me feel like I was at home. I will always have a place to call home in Ubud. Where the room is clean and secure and the breakfast is warm and delicious. Putu was even gracious enough to surprise me with a traditional suckling pig dish for lunch on my last day. It was...

My first visit to Bali led me to Putu's beautiful Jawi House and Painter, in Ubud. I was here for nine days and cannot describe how amazing it has been. I stayed in the Rooftop room, which is very clean and decorated to a high standard. Putu has gone to great lengths to ensure the room is comfortable for her...

Jawi House & Painter is our much-loved modern bed and breakfast homestay in the center of Ubud. We have three private, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and newly built rooms on the upper levels of our home. I live here with my husband, Ketut, a traditional Balinese artist / painter and our two teenage kids. We take pride in offering the best quality in hospitality to suit your needs and we hope to make your stay in Bali an unforgettable experience. Our home is tucked away down a laneway behind the street front. Access is via our courtyard with a staircase up to level one or two.
