Our stay at Junjungan Ubud Hotel & Spa could not have been better. We were there with our three teenage children, and we all loved it. The building itself is beautiful - loved the architecture, including the bedroom views over paddy fields and the dining area. The staff were lovely - so keen to provide the best possible service. The shuttle service into central Ubud worked really well - very pleased we stayed here rather than in the centre of town. The rural setting was perfect!

My wife and I together with our son and his wife stayed at Junjungan Ubud Hotel for two nights in October as the first stopover of our holiday tour of Indonesia. Junjungan is special as it is a countryside accommodation located in the middle of a rice field. As we entered our room, we were greeted by a handwritten note from the management, so touching and so personal . The view from the balcony of our room was incredibly beautiful, very different from the view we get at city hotels. The atmosphere in the early morning was so peaceful and tranquil. Beneath the hotel was a small stream providing a continuous sound of running water - giving a unique feel and ambiance. There was no lift to the first floor rooms. We had to negotiate 24 steps to go to our room, and another set of 24 steps to go down to the basement where the restaurant was located. It was challenging for 81 year old me. The room had a traditional Bali decor, a king size poster bed, and wooden cupboards. The bed and the pillows were comfortable; the hugging bolster was a welcome addition. There was a giant tub in the bathroom. The lighting in the room was not bright enough for reading. To operate the TV and to change the channels was a challenge; it was complicated. A written guide should be provided. Our first dinner was at the basement restaurant, but to avoid using the steps, our breakfast and future meals were with room service. The hotel provided a free shuttle transport to town, which was very useful. Ngurah, Siwi and the team were wonderful, so warm, so efficient and ever ready to help. They were an asset to the establishment.

This place, their service made me feel completely relaxed and a feeling of home away from home. The property is nestled in the midst of rice plantations so it gives you that authentic feeling of being with nature and at peace. Rooms are spacious and nicely designed. If you think that was enough wait to try their food. I regretted not eating there more often Chef Rianti & Chef Yuza take a bow for accommodating all my requests and feeding me with the most authentic meals ever. Can't thank enough Ngurah, Siwi, Sri, Gong Sri, Winda for their kindness and patience. Your support in making my bali experience as one of the most memorable experience will always stay with me. Thanks Nyman for driving me around and always helping me with right info. Thanks Kadek for the best Spa experience. Also for giving me one the best birthday surprise. That was really sweet. Thanks for everything

Third time at Junjungan Ubud Hotel & Spa after a 6 year delay. After an initial noise issue with our room (not the road), we were promptly moved to another. We had a fabulous stay. Very comfortable bed. Good free breakfast. No issue with mosquitos. The property hasn't changed much, which is a good thing. With thanks to Siwi and all the lovely staff for making our stay a good one. Improvements - the only thing I'd say is to bring back the directory for how to work the TV/set top box combo (and the channels available to guests). We also found the free wifi worked better in our down stairs room than our first, upstairs room. We used the free shuttle to Ubud central every day. However, if you prefer to stay local, the area around the hotel has so many more warung's, shops and facilities now within walking distance. For the price point, you can't go wrong. And that view of the rice paddies from your balcony is so incredibly beautiful at this time of year!

The staff is the kindest people you will find in all Ubud, they will help ypu with everything and they are always worried about giving the best service. The hotel is charming, comfortable, clean and beautiful. Close to Ubud but not so close that you can hear the noisy crowds. With a beautiful view of rice terraces. 100% would come back. David & Karen

The hotel is definitely 3 star. The amenities were average and the resort could use some maintenance. The resort is quite a distance from Ubud - walking around the area is dangerous so you will need to take the shuttle or drive. Staff are friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for a countryside accommodation - this is definitely the place.

Was here 10 years ago and it was refreshing to be back. Big, character filled rooms overlooking rice paddies. Shuttle service to Ubud and scooter hire/free bikes. Staff were brilliant, a credit to the hotel. Nearby Warung Bintangbali serves some of the best meals we've had on the island. The negatives are trivial, shower water pressure isn't great and for the life of me I couldn't figure the tv/set box combo.

Junjungan This place is a raw silent paradise in Bali. Imagine waking up to the sound of a little river with sunrise and a clean rice field. All the elements present around you. We got a cozy space inside the room for yoga and meditation, and a little balcony where we enjoyed our veganized breakfasts! Big thanks to the chefs. The water heating system is also impressive. Despite being surrounded by wet lands, the room does not have any humid smell. Service wise, all our requests are granted with so much warmth and care. They would always check on us if there’s anything they can help us with especially with our stay with them. The transport service to and from hotel is also very convenient. The management is very supportive and understanding of our personal needs and so they took really good care of us. Bottomline : will comeback ! Thank you Junjungan Ubud Hotel & Spa. Junjungan Ubud Hotel & Spa

I love this hotel! I stayed for a week in January 2023 and would definitely return. It's a beautifully laid-out hotel with traditional Bali decor. Clean and spacious rooms with expansive, comfortable poster beds. Lovely view of the rice paddies from the balcony. It's an easy 10 minutes from Ubud by car—the hotel's free shuttle is handy. I actually appreciated the location, being away from the hustle of Ubud. The banana pancakes on the breakfast menu are amazing! What remains with me most is the hospitality and kindness of the friendly staff. Thank you :)
