We had the best time! We were looking for a stylish hotel that would be tranquil, and offer exceptional service and this was it! Our room and the view were incredible. So is the pool, with just enough spaces to feel intimate and relaxing. The spa is wonderful too, Lia, Jero and Diana were lovely and the treatments blissful. We stayed for 5 days and had a massage every day. And the hotel offered us a free photoshoot too, which was a lovely surprise.

Just back from a 4 night stay here with my wife in Feb 2024 as part of a 2.5 week trip to Bali to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary. Researched many Ubud hotels before landing on Bisma Eight and have to say ... we couldn't have chosen better. I've travelled a lot with work and stayed in some of the best hotel brands so have developed relatively high expectations!! So it's only right to say that Bisma Eight is a really beautiful and very modern boutique hotel decorated with exquisite Balinese taste but also comes with all the quality, service and attentiveness that one would expect from a 5-star brand like the Four Seasons...without, of course, the cost! Staff - the staff at Bisma Eight were fantastic, with all pre-arrival comms managed promptly and effectively. We arrived early in the AM to a warm welcome from the front desk staff and this 'welcome' just extended across all staff that we met across the hotel throughout our 4 day stay. The staff clearly take great pride in working for Bisma Eight and are without doubt the 'icing on the cake' of what is already a fantastic hotel Service: This was really outstanding - from providing a nice touch of a 25th wedding anniversary cake and in room decorations to us on our first full day, to organising and providing shuttle cars up into Ubud central at a moments notice, through to organising a massage in the spa at their sister property Bisma Eight Villa's, 10 mins down the road to ease my bad back after our 20 hour flight from the UK. The provision of a WhatsApp hotel contact on arrival was really comforting as it meant we could contact the front desk and organise return taxi's from where-ever we were, and dinner reservations with an immediate response. Recommend that you ask the Hotel to book you a table at the Lotus Cafe which backs onto the temple in the centre of Ubud and comes with reserved seats for the 7.30pm nightly Balinese dance show - a highlight of our stay in Ubud. Oh, and for those where Wifi is important,....its excellent throughout the hotel. Rooms: We stayed in Rm 111, which is a Forest Suite on the Ground Floor - the suite was huge and split out into three big rooms; a lounge TV area, the bedroom and the bathroom including a walk in shower and Japanese bath. All ultra modern and cleaned expertly every day. A note about mosquitoes which my wife was really worried about, as we were there in the humid rainy season - the hotel conduct a weekly mosquito spray across the entire hotel grounds which definitely seemed to have an impact. It must be the first time my wife has not been affected by the nightly buzzing and associated bites on a tropical holiday. The hotel are also very good at providing mosquito repellant sprays upon request and one night as we were sat having a drink at the outside bar after dinner at COPPER, without being asked the waiter brought the trays of drinks / cocktails over with a bottle of mosquito repellant spray. Food: The a la carte breakfast was a particular hit. Lots of choice balanced between juices/fruits, cereals, western classics of eggs 'anyway you like them' and a more Balinese inspired cuisine. And as for COPPER, their signature dinner restaurant, the chefs and service, menu choice, food quality, presentation and variety are a MUST experience. Location - Fantastic spot with only a 10-15 minute walk, if inclined, into the centre of Ubud. Once back at the hotel, it always felt like you had returned to calmness and serenity, particularly once you got out to the Infinity Pool with the bar, sun loungers............. and THE VIEWS over the forest and valley. Also walkable with a 15 min walk the other way out of town to Monkey Forest, a required must-do whilst in Ubud I'm so glad I put the time into the hotel research and landed on this one. If I ever end up back in Ubud, it will only ever be Bisma Eight

My wife and I stayed at Bisma Eight Hotel in Ubud for the first week of our Bali honeymoon, and it was a wonderful experience! We were booked in a forest suite, it was a great room with a wonderful view of the jungle valley below us! Our package included daily breakfast, and we were able to sample all of the Indonesian options for breakfast, and some of the western options and everything was delicious! The hotel also offered daily free activities, we wanted to take advantage of more of them but because of our schedule we were only able to participate in two, the mocktail class and the Jammu class. We went to both classes at the hotels sister property, Bisma Eight Villas, just down the street from the hotel. They were very fun, and informative and Ade “Brooklyn”, the bartender that taught us, was a very good instructor! He did a great job sharing his knowledge, and also some of the history of Bali, and a couple magic tricks to top it all off. Everything in the hotel was kept very clean, and manicured. The daily cleaning of the rooms was immaculate, and the grounds crew kept the public areas of the hotel looking fantastic! I’ve also never stayed in a hotel where every single person I interacted with was so friendly and warm. The staff all around were wonderful, cheerful, polite, and just really make the atmosphere what it is at Bisma Eight. I think my wife put it best when she said, “she felt truly taken care of”. I highly recommend the Bisma Eight if you’re staying in Ubud, and I definitely recommend taking advantage of the free daily activities!

The beds are so comfy!! We absolutely loved our stay here in Ubud. The hotel is centrally located and everything is done to perfection. We enjoyed multiple 5-star sunset swims in the infinity pool. Its very family-friendly too! They provided small beds/cots for both our children (ages 3 and 6). The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! We will definitely return!

The most beautiful hotel right in the heart of Ubud! We couldn't have picked a better location - walking distance to EVERYTHING (restaurants, shops, the monkey forest). We are a family of 4 and we were amazed at how kid-friendly it was. We all enjoyed the infinity pool and breakfast was incredible, with many delicious options!

What an experience it has been staying at this beautiful boutique hotel. Tucked away at the end of the street, it is an oasis when compared to the rather busy streets and roads of Ubud. Check in was smooth and very efficient. The front desk Manager was a very pleasant person, very courteous and always wore a smile. The villas are spacious. We stayed at the double storey Villa (No1) for two nights. The Villa was, very comfortable, spacious and well equipped with all essential amenities. The staff were exemplary in catering to our requests. Only a small issue with the powder room WC emanating a foul smell from time to time. The technical staff could not rectify it during our stay. Not a major issue as there were two other washrooms in the Villa. The pool was small and not too deep for our grandchild to play in. The much vegetation within the compound surrounding the Villa and pool make for a tropical garden setup. The Embers offers a fine selection of a la carte meals, all served by an excellent crew of chefs and table staff. No complaints whatsoever. Certainly one of the best properties we have stayed in. Our only regret was not being to stay longer for the duration of our Bali holiday as we had already made prior bookings at another Nusa Dua resort. Do keep up the good work. We hope to be back to stay longer next time.

I was very touched and grateful for my last trip. I've been to many countries and hotels, and my days at Bisma eight were very warm and touching. Everyone I met greeted me with a bright smile, and I could feel their consideration for the other person in every small action. The bedroom was well taken care of so that I could enjoy the best rest in a comfortable and warm atmosphere, the food was delicious, and I could feel the nature leisurely in the swimming pool. In addition, I was able to enjoy a variety of yoga classes, mocktail class, and cooking class. Talking about my last trip to Bali with my family, I wanted to let many people know about Bisma eight. And we would like to visit Bisma eight again someday.

Pros Great location, central Ubud. Interesting area - Bisma - with enough restaurants that you dont need to go right to the centre. Especially Pistachio and Chai of the Tiger. Good complimentary classes. Able to change our big notes for small cash. Cons A bit of construction work at the front going on with their driveway. Not a major inconvenience though. Our room key stopped working a couple of times for inexplicable reasons. Overall, this was the best hotel that we stayed at out of 4 in Bali. This includes the luxury Radisson Blu resort in Uluwatu. The reception team are super quick and efficient to respond to any needs and queries. The room cleaning is also excellent, twice daily. Some people probably dont take advantage of all the hotel offers and therefore underestimate its offerings. Whilst we didnt go for any events there, if we had more time we would have checked out some activities or facilities at the Bisma Villas sister site. We really enjoyed the Mocktail class with Sujani and fellow guests. She has a great manner. We also had fun with Hendra doing the Jammu class. On the final day we also enjoyed the Cooking class with the big chef - apologies, I have forgotten his name. The fellow guests from Canada, Singapore and Europe also made the experience more fun. In retrospect, I should spend more time here than in Uluwatu Radisson.

I saw the hotel advertised on The Straits Time Singapore and was attracted by the offerings. Was a little conscious if I would feel out of place if I went there with a friend, staying solo in a room, instead of travelling with a partner or company. However, the stay was perfect and amazing for friends' trip and I would also highly recommend it for solo trip as well. Felt so safe and secure with all the warm staff and service. Even the security made you feel very welcome. Went there as there is Yoga lesson everyday. The Yoga sessions did not disappoint at all. The yoga instructors are so professional! We attended a friendly cooking class too!The breakfast was amazing! Location is great, if travelling solo and just want to hang around the area without venturing out, there are quaint cafes and shops nearby too. Room is cleaned and tidied twice a day. Highly recommended!
