I arrived at Surabaya late at night and it doesnt matter because this hostel was near to the Juanda airport. The owner, Mrs Dyana was very friendly and offered us drinks and food as we arrived. The room was ok, the bathroom next to our room needed repair but the corridor was clean and free wifi! Breakfast consists of bread,...

Mbak Dyana arranged a driver for my friend and I for our Ijen andg Bromo tour. Our driver, Pak Nofi Susanto was very nice. My friend was having motion sickness during the long road trips and he bought her medicine. He took care of us really well. Went back to Surabaya and stayed at Da Rifi on our last night....

I felt like in my home/dorm in this hostels. The owner, Mrs. Dyanasari, was really helping and sociable to their guest... Everyday, the corridor got cleaned and mopped. The bathroom was okay, reparation is needed due to broken shower hose. The breakfast menu consist of bread, and some domestic dishes..

Very convenient if your stopping over for a day or 2 in surabaya. Close to the airport ( they will pick you up for 25,000rp on a motorcycle) and close to the bus station. A very friendly owner who served a delicious breakfast and even served me a free dinner. Comfortable beds and you will probably have the room to...

We were picked up from airport for IDR 60.000 (three persons). Da rifis homestay is a bit like H. Potter's "The Burrow", but the manager and her family are very friendly and offer a great service! The manager organized a private driver very shortterm for us. The driver (Andrew) was also very friendly and spoke english. He drove us to...

I stayed for two days here. Everything is free if you would ask the help of the operator, except AC you must pay a little bit more. This hostel's concept is simple, the owner runs the hostel by herself, no staff so you should understand her capability to keep everything neat and tidy. If you'd prefer to see the city,...

Da Rifi Hostel/Homestay is situated in a residential area close to both the Juanda International airport and Purabaya Bus Terminal. Taxi Ride from either place to the hostel cost 50k or less, so beware for those taxi drivers that may overcharge or going rounds in metered taxi. First impression of the place is not good, as it is low season...

I stayed at Da Rifi 2 times in a two week period before and after my trip to Kalimantan. Deanna is an amazing host and made me and my friend feel very welcome. It was difficult to find the right bus...easier if we had just taken the 2 ankots or a taxi, but Deanna sent a detailed email and helped...

The hostel lies amid a residential area. It created problems for the taxi driver locating it. However I think it is easy to spot it when you are walking along the streat as it has a large sign reading Da Rifi Hostel in front of it. Unfortunately it is neither located very central nor accessible by public transport. You either...

Reasonably priced for the solo traveller. A couple may be able to find something similar/cheaper for a private double. Many shared bathroom facilities( sinks, western toilets, hot showers) All rooms are dorm...
