Stayed for one night and delighted it wasn't any longer. First impression was good bearing in mind this was only 2 star. But things took a downturn when we found our room. It was so damp (I accept high humidity - it was rainy season but there are limits! ) the bedding smelled of damp dog and I found slugs...

It was said that this is the best hotel around. The cottages looks very nice from outside and probably the view is amazing (but it was covered with fog). Rooms are simple and old. Bathroom is dark (to mask the dirt ?) and water stream very weak. Food is very simple and does not look too clean. The inclined elevator...

When arriving. The dark lobby announced already what would come. Outside on the way to the cottages there is a nice garden and when it is clear most probably also a nice view. But the cottage was outdated and the beds were dirty and humid. There was an unhygienic smell. The food in the restaurant is awfull. We started eating...

as there is not much in the neighbourhood, this shabby motel exploits their guests. food at exorbitant prices for below average quality, bathrooms falling apart, no respect for visitors. Avoid if you can

We stayed there one night, and thankfully only that as both my husband and I were barely able to sleep at all. The bedrooms are very old, incredibly damp and full of insects (like massive spiders). The view was probably amaZing, but we couldn't see it because of the fog. Such a shame because the location is great

If you want to see the Bromo sunrise, this might be one of the best places to stay! Don't try to compare these rooms to hotel rooms in the cities because you will be disappointed on arrival. Room doors (exterior) aren't closing well, which makes the room quite cold. Shower has very few warm water. The room was dark and...

The rooms are quite big, has very beautiful view. Very rustique, limited suply of hot water. 25 L pr. hour. The restaurant is acceptable, but very small menu to choose from. The staff is kind and very helpful. Compared to the cabins in Yellowstone this is luxus. Then again you are there for the nature not the hotel...

At first i came to the hotel i was fascinated by the gondola rail lift that will take the guests to their rooms. I think this is the unique concept offer by Bromo cottages. In its ethnick and traditional look, there is a glass gondola train appear to connectig the levels.

Wow, how can a beautiful exterior be so misleading?! At first sight, I could not believe why this hotel got such a mediocre rating: nice outside, crazy cable railway to travel between floors... But then you enter their rooms... OK, during my days as boy scout I've seen worse. But that's just not what you expect from a self-claimed hotel....
