Magnificent customer service: the manager is friendly and helpful over and above the call of duty. The night receptionist is very welcoming.
The breakfast is delicious.
The hotel is perfectly located for visiting the old city and the port.
The room was lovely with 3 stone arches each one giving onto the different comforts of the room: separate areas for the WC, a square bathtub space, and a sink area.
What more can you want?

We found Akkotel to be the perfect place to conveniently and comfortably experience old Akko.

It is at the edge of the old city (literally — it is built into the old city wall from which Napoleon’s invasion was successfully repelled), so it’s an easy walk to the entire old city. At the same time, because it’s at the edge, it is easy to drive in and out, and to park, and to walk a few steps before plunging into crowded market alleyways.

The rooms are very nice. They are not super-modern, but that is the trade-off for stone walls that provide the feel of a timeless place.

The hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

The breakfast is fine, but if you are staying more than one morning, you might for variety’s sake want to want to try something else the second day.

The hotel is in a great location in the heart of the old town, within walking distance of all the tourist attractions (the port, the market, the knights' halls, and restaurants). The hotel is built inside the ancient wall and as such is very special. There is considerable investment in preserving the character of the place. The rooms are special though not particularly large. Room maintenance (including the toilets) and cleanliness were just fine.
We arrived at a group of ten people and received a really excellent welcome and service (especially Nabil who with an eternal smile answered all our requests).
To sum up: Recommended. We'll be back

My review will be a bit mixed, but not because the hotel itself isn't wonderful, because it is! Although I do think that the breakfast price is too high, it was the highest I saw at any hotel where I stayed in Israel, so I didn't have it. I stayed at Akkotel as a solo, mature traveler for two nights.

The owner, or the older man at the front desk, was caring and lovely as well as really very helpful, recommending some great restaurants (but I was eating alone and so I was getting food to go to eat in the park a lot). I arrived early and he let me store my luggage until the room was ready a few hours later. I went and had a long lunch. When I came back, my room was ready. It was a large, nicely appointed room which was clean, it had a minibar, as well as a bathtub. It was all idyllic until...

...that night, when I got into bed, and not only did the Call to Prayer start up (I put earplugs in), but because of the hotel's wonderful and central location, which is by a large gated road, people were honking ALL night long, plus playing loud music, and also someone was doing night construction of some sort at about midnight, the walls in my room proved very thin and I could hear the men speaking.

I got very little sleep of poor quality.

I went out, enjoyed Akko, and that night, the same thing.

I didn't complain because it was only for two nights.

Also, in the second day, my hot water went out. I don't know why. At that point, I was so tired, I just washed in cold and shrugged. I should have mentioned it but the reality was at that point, I didn't care.

Too noisy for me. I will be sure to book a quieter room because it truly is the BEST hotel in Akko for this price range, at least that I saw.

Great location- inside the walls of the old town, and within a few minutes walk to all the old town attractions. Although the hotel is located in the the old town, they still have a private parking spaces for their guests. The hotel is good, great atmosphere, good breakfast and very nice and clean rooms. Most of all, Nabil the receptionist, was very helpful and helped us with all our needs.

Warm, friendly and attentive welcome by the family staff who own and run the hotel.
Very clean and tidy, excellent location walking distance from all main attractions of the ancient city. Thr hotel itself is part of the old city wall, and is an historical landmark.
The hotel has parking tight at the center of old town which is also a big plus. Nice breakfast - althoigh somewhat different than the usual pleantyfull Israeli hotels breakfasts - is based on fresh salads and dairy - with personal treat of omlette done as you please.

Great location . Right on the walls Shaar Ha Yabasah ( land gate ). You can leave thevold city and go to the beach or you can walk around the old city.
The hotel.is spotless . Old world charm . Every room is different and each piece of furniture is new and hand made. The building is an old ottoman customs house a d then Israeli courthouse that had to be renovated under very very strict govt guidelines. Its all absolutely new but its historic .the owners are the nicest people . The breakfast good rooms spotlessly clean . Loved it . Am.going back with the family. Highly recomend

Took a last minute trip with another couple to escape the hot busy city to the hot quieter North. As we set off, got a phone call from the manager ?owner Nurid asking us if we knew when we would arrive. We were aiming for about midday and were going to tour locally. He told us to park the car in the hotel car park, leave our luggage in the hotel and tour around as they are very centrally placed and the check in when we returned. Now that is customer care! lovely old historic building - beautifully renovated and updated - comfortably furnished. Breakfast could be better. Very enjoyable stay - thank you.

I wouldn't normally rate somewhere so dated, so highly. However, it is perfect for the town. It is an ex courthouse now owned and run by its former judge! Perfect location for exploring the old town, right near some excellent restaurants and all the sights. It also has reserved parking right outside the door, in a place where finding a parking spot would be a nightmare.

I liked this place. Only here for one night though. Great location. Staff is helpful. They have their own roped-off parking area right in front of the hotel, which was a surprise but very helpful. Breakfast buffet is a little small, but they can make an omelet to order.
