First of all...THE FOOD! YUM!!!
Second: there are many overnight sleeping arrangements available. As we were traveling in the winter with children we chose a location with beds/heating and indoor plumbing.
Third: Camels!
Fourth: breakfast...It always comes back to food.
Fifth: experiences: they went out at night with UV lights looking for scorpions and my kids loved every second of it!

Beautifull place to stay overnight. In the middle of nowhere, so we did expect quietness. Arrival was very friendly, every employee was kind, smiling and friendly. Airconitioning on the room was very good, when arriving in the room it was 17 degrees inside.... at daytime! Beutifull new room, clean, pretty beds, very good. Diner was with every custumor from the camp in one big Bedoeintent. We didn't know what to expect, but it was a fun experience. Good food, very much food, a nice evening. But. Before we good go to diner we had to go to a Bedoein lady, telling us a story about Bedoein life. Didn't know that this was part of the deal, but no problem, we where starving but we are able to wait. During her story there was a big group of young guys who had been drinking before, and during the story and diner. They where very present and irritating. Because we wanted to have diner, we where not able to get away from them and sit anywhere else. We had to deal with the yelling and screaming. Once back in the room, we wanted to go to sleep. We were not able to make the room dark because of all the light outside the room on the camp. At night there is to much light! In front of our room there was a fountain wich made a lot of noise and did not stop at night. On the backside of our room there was a camp with a big group of mature people, making music, fun and loud talking and drinking. At 2 in the night I went out of bed to go to this group because they were very very noisy, to ask them if they could make a bit less noise. They did, but at that time I noticed that everywhere on the camp there where groups of noisy people. I walked through the camp at that time, and noticed a lot of people drinking much alcohol and making a lot of noise. So, a beautiful place to stay, good food, nice employees. But a sleepless night becease of the amount of people making noise the whole night. I gess the availability of alcohol throughout a large time of the night is part of this outcome. And better curtains will do for the brightness.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We choose to stay in a tent and it was clean and so comfy. The dinner was sooo good and the activities educational and interesting enough to keep the attention of our 8 year old. We loved the scorpion hunt and camel rides in the desert. Not one bad thing to say. Amazing!!

Big family gathering. Great staff to get us keys, give us an orientation, where to park, help with bags (if needed), etc. We had four rooms all in the cluster, which was really handy. Petting zoo for kids, camp fire for after dinner gathering, buffet style dinner and breakfast with lots of selection. You couldn't do any better, DEFINITELY stay here.

A visit with a Bedouin who explains the life of the Bedouin, talks about the coffee ceremony, how they receive guests and more while sitting in an authentic tent on mattresses on the floor. You get the feeling of authenticity. Riding camels was a great experience and was enjoyed by all participants. It was just long enough, but not too long. We also ate dinner there which was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommend this site for a visit. They also have rooms for overnight, but we did not take advantage of those.

An oasis on the way between Arad and Masada. A very well maintained place. A variety of accommodation options. Spacious and comfortable rooms. A variety of activities for different ages. Excellent food. Kind and caring attitude from the staff. a special atmosphere. Prices are somewhat expensive for the good rooms, but these are luxury rooms. We would like to go back there.

Fabulous trip, wonderful hospitality, food was delicious. One of the highlights of our Israel trip. Accommodation was spacious and clean with plenty of lovely outdoor areas to sit in. The kids loved the camel ride and scorpion hunt. Would highly recommend.

This place is like a private paradise. The food is outstanding and the vires are beautiful. The accommodations are simple (we stayed in a stone house) but clean and adequate. Sitting by the fire pit at night smoking a hooka pipe and looking at the stars was magic. And the peacocks and camels are your neighbors. I want to come back.

Wonderful oasis in the middle of the desert . Kids had a blast riding camels and searching for scorpions . Food was tasty and beds were comfortable .
It’s easy to hike Masada from here . It’s a 15 min drive and an easy hike with kids . We did it before breakfast.

I had low expectations for this experience but we enjoyed it. That being said, it was further from the major tourist sites (Dead Sea, Ein Gedi) than I would have liked. It’s closer to the non cable-car accessible side of Masada. We enjoyed learning about Bedouins and had a lovely two story family suite. It was clean and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast buffets were fine but nothing amazing. I’m glad we did it and was pleasantly surprised.

I am not sure of the distance from Kfar Hanokdim to Masada but I had vehicle transport which took about 45 minutes. Don’t think it’s possible to do the hike from Kfar Hanokdim
