In our travels we've stayed at a number of B&Bs with mixed results. I'd rate 1885 as the best to date. The location is good, the accommodations are charming, the breakfasts, served on the terrace overlooking the valley below, delicious. Best of all is the friendliness and hospitality of the owner Maayan Matz. Both my husband and I,as well as...

We just got back from a two night stay at this wonderful B&B. Maayan and Gil are perfect hosts, friendly without being pushy. The room is comfortable and attractive. The breakfast was fantastic, served outside in the shaded garden. The room was stocked with drinks and snacks for everyone's taste - fruit, chocolates, wine, beer, etc.

A family friend gifted my boyfriend and me two nights at this adorable bed and breakfast. The view, the sophisticated-rustic decor, the incredible complimentary breakfast: all excellent! There are also several great, laid-back restaurants, pubs, and art galleries within easy walking distance along old cobblestone streets. In case you're also considering B&Bs in other nearby towns--Rosh Pina is a perfect...

We stayed 2 nights at 1885 in 2 rooms. Everything was perfect. Maayan leaves no detail undone. The room is stocked with wine, cold drinks, snacks and even alcohol. The breakfast she prepares leaves you full and satisfied. The view from the terrace is stunning. A perfect oasis.

We spent 3 days(2 nights) at Maayan's and Giel Matz house. The 1885 building has kept its look and warm, while offering beutiful rooms (we stayed at the one with a balcony and amazing view over the northern galilee), with all the pampering details and service of a perfect run B&B. A realy spiritual relaxing stay with great hosts!!!! Very...

My travelling companions and I used the 3 suites at 1885 for 3 nights and couldn't have been more pleased. Maayan and Gil really want to take care of their guests and it clearly showed. Suites were really well done and comfortable. Food was outstanding... especially the baked goods :-) and the views from the patio were superb. Really a...

This was our first stop on our two week trip to Israel, and it set the tone that lasted throughout. It was beautiful and we felt very much at home due to the wonderful hospitality of Gil and Maayan. The rooms were tasteful and lovely, the view at breakfast of the Golan Heights spectacular, and the location fantastic for exploring...

I've been to a number of zimmers in Israel, but this one was the absolute best. There are three suites, each one is delightful., It's a perfect spot, with an amazing view. Lots of lovely extras: home baked brownies, wine, good scotch, lovely bath products. In the winter there is a woodburning stove that adds to the airconditioner/heater, and makes the...

We had a truly amazing stay at the 1885 B&B of Maayan and Gil. They are wonderful and warm people. The rooms are beautiful and very cosy, an indulgence yet so homey. Our room was equipped with a big bed, a Jacuzzi, bathrobes, a coffee machine, drinks and nice treats. Breakfast was rich and fresh. It was a wonderful experience,...
