Janine was teriffic! She took care of my bag while I was at meetings, gave me great directions and gave me a quick tour of the garden. The room was nice and the bed comfortable.

Last time I stayed in the condos, this time in the main house, where I had a wonderfully spacious room. I loved coming and going, as if a resident of this gracious mansion. As before, the hosts were 100% helpful and delightful. Also as before, I appreciated the few minutes' walk to Lake Street cafes and shops -- much preferable...

My husband and I have been fortunate to travel throughout the U.S., Europe, and parts of Asia and Africa, and we rate the Morgan State House as one of the most pleasurable places we've ever stayed at! The house is elegant, with an interesting history; the rooms are all lovely but different from each other; the breakfasts are good; the...

The Morgan State House has an excellent location and provides comforatable accomodations in downtown Albany, NY. I have stayed there many times over the last 10 years and the quality has been consistently good. Each room has its own character, with pros and cons. 3rd floor and up has no WiFi signal, so one must take the laptop downstairs if...

As soon as you walk in the door you feel like royalty! The service is excellent and very accommodating. I asked Chuck if he could find me chocolate covered strawberries, sparkling cider and roses and he came through on all my requests with just a days notice! He also suggested an amazing room with a brand new gorgeous bathroom and...

As a local resident of the area, I'd admired the B&B for years and always wanted to stay. My husband and I got a gift certificate for an overnight so finally got a chance to stay. What a treat! Beautiful room (4B) - very unique and very private. A great getaway even being a few miles from home! Top notch...

We stayed in the sister property, just about next door. The reception area in the state house is wonderful, but the one next door doesn't quite reach the same standard.

Hotel is great location for exploring Albany or for a quick stay-over on way to other upstate New York destinations - nice self-catering breakfast with lots of options, beautiful old building with much of the original detailing - great yard and patio for enjoying your breakfast and reading the paper - I would love to go back and spend more...

Our one night stay in Albany turned from dread to welcome relief as we entered the charming guesthouse on State St. The house has been particularly well renovated and our spacious room and modern bathroom were very comfortable. The team made us feel welcome and then left us the run of the house and lovely outdoor space. What was particularly...

It's historical charm, quiet and spacious layout in a noteworthy neighborhood edged by a serene Park makes for exceptional tranquility for business or quiet romance. All the amenities and comfort that...
