I had 4 nights in Galle, staying at the guesthouse. It was perfect for my needs. The staff very very friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. The homemade curries where plentiful and tasty. I had a couple of (western style) breakfasts and these were just as enjoyable. Pirate the guesthouse dog was also very sweet. Having 2 outdoor terraces was an advantage to enjoy the evening breeze. Thank you I enjoy my stay.

Very pleasant brief stay. Clean, tidy and the hosts were very friendly. Nice location if wanting to see the fort. We stayed one night and this was enough to do a bit of shopping etc. they guesthouse offers good A/C and WiFi and a decent shower. They have a little restaurant downstairs too. We did not eat there but it looked decent and smelt good

We had a great time at Namans guesthouse. The whole team is incredible nice and helpful. The tuc tuc day trips are a big recommendation, as well as the sri lankan breakfast and the kottu of namans brother. We certainly come back soon! Thanks for everything.

We really enjoyed our stay at this small, clean, and elegant guesthouse in Galle Fort. It's in an old colonial-style building with lots of history (which, if you're a nerd like me, you can read all about in the information booklet that they leave in your room). As other guests have mentioned, the rooftop area overlooking the cricket green and the Fort walls is a big bonus - and there were also similar views from the dining area just outside our room, where we liked to have breakfast and look out at the passers-by. It's lovely watching groups of tourists and locals alike all gathering along the Fort wall at sunset to look out at the sea. Really good-quality breakfast too (our first taste of Sri Lankan egg hoppers with daal!). Our room was nice and comfortable and although it sounds like a small thing we were really happy with the shower - definitely one of the better bathrooms/shower facilities that we came across staying at guesthouses in Sri Lanka within this (very reasonable) price range. Probably the best thing of all at this guesthouse though was the hospitality and excellent service. Our hosts were always on hand to offer advice and help us arrange things that we wanted to do (including a very early-morning tuk-tuk drive to visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda and nearby Jungle Beach). And so thoughtful - the absolute highlight of our stay for me was when my boyfriend asked a staff member if he could kindly cut a coconut open for us so that we could drink the water...and instead of just halving the coconut, the waiter returned proudly displaying what can only be described as Coconut Origami (he had somehow carved the coconut into the shape of a mouse, with ears, and then popped two straws in it for us - it was amazing!). Officially the best/most surprising drink that we had in all our time in Sri Lanka! So thank you very much to Seagreen Guesthouse for giving us these memories :)

This is a great little place in a really nice location. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is a fantastic place to stay. The owners and staff are very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are pretty basic, but very clean and extremely well maintained. Everything works! All lights, fans, aircon, hot water, etc. This can't be said for every place in Sri Lanka. The wifi is fast and reliable and works well in the room. The location is great. It overlooks the ocean and is close to many restaurants. It's in a fairly quiet and low traffic area as well. You can sit on a little outdoor deck and enjoy a drink or a meal. I had a great experience here and would definitely recommend the Seagreen Guesthouse

We loved both Galle Fort & the Seagreen Guesthouse: the staff was on the run to look after our every whim. The egg hoppers for breakfast are divine! Location: perfect, on the magnificent fort walls that are ancient, beautiful and impeccibly built - astonsihing! The Portugese started them in 1505; the Dutch took over in 1640 and the British arrived to complete the construction in 1796. The architecture with a more modern Sri Lankan touch is stunning. White buildings, interior ponds & gardens, great restaurants & funky shops temp the tourists. And yet, it's as much a place where locals live & raise their families who mingle happily with tourists. When we were ready to move on, the owner himself pulled out the family car and drove us 25 kms (a one hour journey) to Mirissa. Seagreen Guesthouse was a wonderful stop on our Sr Lankan journey!

Very nice position, upstairs balcony looks out over the friendly cricket match to the sea and very nice staff who really made me feel welcome. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and had all the necessary basics (including a good, bright bedside lamp which nowhere else in Sri Lanka had). The bathroom is also spacious. Nice breakfast choices & the most filling breakfast pancake I’ve ever had.
