This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They were able to book a multi day bike tour for us on very short notice and gave lots of good recommendations for places to eat in the area. My only regret is that we were...

Sleeping boots is excellent for budget travellers. It's one of the best hostels I've ever stayed! Becky, the host, is really nice and fun. She kindly provided me with lots of useful information about Hualien, including the lovely map introducing different local food. The hostel is located very close to the train station, It only takes 15 to 20 minutes...

This hostel is great value for money. My friend and I booked a two-bed dorm. Room is clean and very comfortable. The host (forgot to ask her name) is very friendly and offered us very helpful advice on where to go and what to eat around the hostel area. Every time we came back to the hostel, she and her...

Sleeping Boot was one of the most memorable points of my trip in Taiwan! First of all, it was a very affordable find and the hostel is located just 15 min away from the Hualien Train Station. It's a small, cozy hostel that had a very homely vibe. I booked a bed in the 6 bed female dorm, located on...

I love this hostel a lot, the owners are so friendly and helpful. Location is good, near to train station. As I was so home sick while travelling alone in Taiwan for few week, this place really gimme a feeling of home and I got to know a lot of friends when I stayed there for four nights, it is...

We stayed in Sleeping Boot's lovely 4-bed private dorm for our visit to Hualien. The beddings and pillows were clean, comfortable and made for a good night's rest. There were electric outlets conveniently sited beside each bed, along with a bedside lamp. The ensuite bathroom was spacious, with shampoo and soap provided. Bring along your own towel though! Breakfast is...

Sleeping Boot is a wonderful place to stay if you're looking to hang around Hualien City or venture to Taroko Gorge. The hostel is about a 10-15 minute walk from Hualien train station (花蓮火車站), 15-20 walk to the Hualien Cultural and Creative Industries Park (花蓮文化創意產業園區), and maybe a 30 minute walk to Ziqiang Night Market (自強夜市). It is also right...

I walked into the hostel with no reservation. Luckily they had available beds! The staff was very friendly. We went out for dinner with the other backpackers! The cleaning lady gave me a contact for a stay in an aboriginal village in Taitung even! Hostel is located in a quiet but safe and convenient street. Love the food stalls around...

I stayed for two nights at Sleeping Boot, from December 27th to December 29th. It was across the street from a temple, which happened to be holding a costume and dance festival as I arrived. Fong was cordial and very helpful. I hadn’t come up with a specific plan for Hualien, but he had several ready-to-go. I followed his 1-day...
