I spent more than a week at the Mount Meru Hotel while attending a workshop at a conference center in Arusha. The hotel staff were truly committed to offering the highest level of service. The rooms were always spotless and the food was varied enough for me to eat most of my meals at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was...

Stayed one night before the safari around the area. Reached pretty late at night, had dinner at the restaurant. Service took a very long time, food was good though. The banquet hall was noisy with a party all night. Rooms are small and basic but good views. Breakfast was good spread with a open area for seating facing the lawns....

Mt Meru hotel is a pleasant stopover if you are flying into or out of Arusha. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the grounds and facilities are well maintained. Front desk processes and procedures can test your patience, but the problem seems to be the process not the people.

This hotel offers: -Harassment in the pool by the staff. -Attitude if you ask in the store -Attitude if you go to the counter -Horrible coffee -Bland food Perhaps its the only choice in Arusha, I cant compare, but I can compare to all my other 5 hotels across Tanzania and this was by far the worst. Every other hotel...

Good place to rest and plan your tours while in Arusha. "Fancy" hotel in a really poor city. Stayed here before going to Kilimanjaro and Ngorongoro/Serengueti and there is little probability to find a better place in town. Only problem I can remember of is the electricity cut during the night (maybe a common thing in town).

Spent two nights here at the beginning of 14 day African Safari. The rooms were small but adequate and very clean. We had a beautiful view of Meru Mountain out our window. The staff was most professional and took care of all our needs. Aided with transportation into town (walking was not advised) and loaned and electrical adapter for charging...

The hotel is very nice with good rooms but when it came to the conference it was really a mess for me on the first day, my room was not ready and noone seemed to know where we were booked, there was a lot of confusion which was rather frustrating, however this was rectified after a lot of shouting. Large hotel in Arusha. I give it a very good for its beautiful grounds in the middle of the city....and it overlooks the Gymkhana Golf Course. Met a couple of very friendly staff, especially the doorman Sirel. The rest are not friendly but they get the job done. They have a happy hour on Fridays....the BOGO deal really attracts a...
