Rooms in the front section are large, with big windows, beautiful wood floors and pleasant design. Those in the back (tall tower) are more cramped and darker. Only downside is the front rooms don't all have elevator access, but after getting stuck in the elevator once, not sure that's a big downside. Whatever you do, make sure you eat only...

The Impala is billed as a business person's hotel. I'm not sure how it qualifies as such, other than that it possesses some meeting space that is likely hard to come by in the area. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights-one night prior to climbing Kilimanjaro, and 2 nights after. My room was spartan but adequate. The bed...

We stayed in this hotel for one night only on our way to Zanzibar. Hotel is shabby however we would not mind should the service be at the required level. The staff was chaotic and therefore not very helpful - for example on our departure they forgot to take two pieces of our luggage to the shuttle transporting us to...

Some aspects of the hotel is spectacular and it is located in a quiet part of Arusha. They are, however, still busy with their renovations. Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom. The plumbing and some aspects of the workmanship need more attention.

We stayed a few nights at the Impala while bumming in Arusha between our northern safari and the trip to Dar. For what it charges (and compared to rates in that part of the world), Impala was good value for money. Large, comfortable rooms with aircon, as clean as you can hope for in that price range. There is a...

You could say this is an OK hotel if you are not interested in hot water showers, sleeping in the same bed as your mate, in room wifi, Air conditioning etc. Just a tip but you can stay at the Bay Leaf hotel about 2 blocks away for just a little more money but the differences are worlds apart. Pros:...

I was here with a friend in late January 2011. Both of our rooms were very clean and we were pleasantly surprised. However, things were not in a great state of repair; poorly fitted screens, cable that didn't work and water taps that seemed to be broken. All in all though, not a huge deal, it's Africa. The Italian and...

The Impala, though likely a four star, did not meet our needs. There was limited hot water for showers - we take short showers and this didn't matter- the wifi cost a lot and you could only access it in the business centre, the pool was closed when we wanted to use it in the afternoon, and the restaurants were...
