Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I strongly advise you do not to stay at this property if you are staying longer than a couple of days. i booked for 14 nights and left after three. The rooms are extremely basic and in need of re-decoration,the sockets are halfway up the walls and no bedside table, so if you wish to charge your phone overnight it has to dangle from the socket. There was mould in the shower room, and the sink was NOT attached to the wall ( dangerous ). There was only 4 hangers in the " wardrobe ". The plunge pool has several tiles missing, again dangerous for children. Breakfast was a joke!! I am still waiting for a refund from the owner for the 11 days I didn't stay, the owner is refusing to refund me. I took photos of all my grievances but they are too big to attach.

Just stayed for a night for our short trip away. Nice small guesthouse. Room is clean enough though the bathroom needs to be upgraded little bit. Small swimming pool to cool down in though it looks bigger in picture. Friendly staff. Perfect location to all the local restaurants and convenient stores. Good price.

The wifi here is spotty, the air con blows air directly over the bed, the pool is rather pathetic, the outlet only allows a 2 prong adapter, and there is no breakfast offered. However, you can't beat the location and the value and for this reason the place earns a 3 star TA rating. The room itself is rather cute and authentic and it's clean and tidy. And the shower/bathroom facility although not fancy, does the job. Despite the imperfections I would stay here again. It's been an overall positive experience for me and it's very centrally located. Parking is on the street itself which isn't a problem unless it's busy. The staff here is friendly and accomodative. Again, I would stay here again if given the chance but be aware of the imperfections.

Unfriendly staff. Rock hard beds that have springs digging into your back. Room smelt of mould. People swimming in the pool at 1am in the morning which woke me up. Terrible coffee. Would not recommend staying here. There are much nicer, cleaner places for the same price in the area.

We stayed here while attempting to find a cheaper way to spend the night on the Similan Islands. While we failed in that endeavor the Fasai House was a great place to regroup before heading to Krabi. There is AC, private bathroom, mini fridge, and a comfortable bed. The reception lady speaks decent english and tried pretty hard to help us find a way to rent a tent directly through the park office. There are a couple good restaurants nearby and the beach was nice once you got past all of the resorts and closer to the park. They serve up a good breakfast for cheap and even have real coffee! WIFI worked well in rooms.

We stayed there for two nights: the staff was very friendly, one could speak english well and was very helpful, the rooms were simple with an old shower and old toilets but perfect for this price, they made the rooms and gave new towels, laundry was done within less than 24h, the location was excellent (close to agencies and restaurants but quiet) so we recommend it!

My girlfriend and I loved the Fasai house. Location is perfect! The room is big, clean and comfortable. Probably one of the best we had in Thailand. The facilities are simple but nice. Pool was clean and you have a nice space to hang around the pool and get some sunshine. Restaurant is also simple but nice food and super cheap. Great value for money.

I booked specifically because it had a pool, but the pool was dirty and cloudy, so I didn't even go in. The room had all the basics and unlimited free water bottles, but the bathroom was leaky and the floor was always wet. The wifi was good and A/C worked well. Location was good, quiet, close to shops and food. Affordable.

Stayed here a couple of nights. Khao Lak is a dull place with nothing to do. However, if you do need to stay here because you want to go diving- then you might as well stay at Fasai. The rooms are very clean, airconditioned and reasonably priced. We payed 500B for a room.
